Pen-Pen, thanks for the link to the sda bread recipe, it doesn't even need to be left to rise - perfect!

OH and I have slobbed with dinner in front of the T.V, now I'm going to make our lunches for tomorrow, got a long day so you may not hear much from me! Left over gammon and pickle sandwiches for OH (I find it cheaper to boil a big Smart Price gammon joint at the beginning of the week and use it for his sarnies than to buy sliced meat, it usually does him a dinner too!), along with a hot cross bun, some malt loaf, a chocolate mini roll, a tracker bar, two packets of crisps, a banana, orange and apple (told you he needs a lot of food!). For me I'm doing two small wholemeal wraps with hummus, left over roast chicken, lettuce from the garden and just a dash of sweet chilli sauce. I'll also pack an apple and a chunk of cheese, a banana, some cherry tomatoes and a little tub of brazilnuts, cashew nuts and almond with sunflower and pumpkin seeds and dried blueberries to snack on throughout the day. Hopefully I'll be giving some of you ideas for healthy lunches and snacks!

I've made a low fat raspberry iceream which is in the freezer as we speak, if it works ok I'll post the recipe tomorrow for you all.

Mioliere - what are hot buttered plums?? Sounds yummy!

Bye for now - maight pop back later!

    OMG!

Have just done a huge post and forgot to copy before I posted! It has disappeared into the ethernet!

Basically I was welcoming new, commiserating with kids with health problems, really sorry about chickens. Congrats on booking holidays and sorry to those not feeling too good today! What a b@@@@r!

Would love a chicken to carry on the Granny Broon name but will go with a Rooster called Granny!!!!!!!

Off to move from Base Camp to Everest re the ironing. Machine on tonight with white wash which will need ironed!.

DD and I decided not to exchange DGSs next 2 weekends as horrendous roadworks on Forth Bridge. We will go over a week on Sunday for early DH 60th birthday dinner. We are going on DH motorbike which I hate - he has had bikes all our lives but I only plucked up courage to go pillion about 4 years ago. Hate it but will get lots of street cred with DGSs when GB arrives with helmet on. Haven't quite got round to the leathers yet!

Hope to dip once finished the ironing. I think a bit of gardening in order at weekend. Just heard from DS about his Dad's birthday present. To be honest the fact they are coming from Dublin is enough. We have asked for dontations to Cancer Research in place of pressies. We can afford what we need (being OS I might add) without folk giving pressies. Have asked folk to link to my friend's daughter who is doing the Run for Life in July- far more important we think.

    Anyway

Love and hugs to all and sorry no real personal mention.

Well - we collected the freecycle item for OH.
    Came home had dinner
Ive baked 4 carrot cakes! My house smells divine! Kids are in the bath now.

And I had a phone call from my friend at work, asking me to help fundraise for our local special needs school who are in need of sensor equipment. I said yes - thinking it was just to sponsor them, but NO!!!!! Myself & OH have been roped into a wheel barrow push! With the men pushing the ladies! In fancy dress! Well Ive agreed now, so cant back out! OH has a monk outfit, I just need to dress up as a nun! Any ides for an OS costume?

Bad news: my fridge freezer is on the blink :( - the freezer seems OK but the fridge isn't very cold even when I turn it up to max. Now searching for the warranty document

Everest has been conquered. Just to put everything away!

White wash just about to be finished.

Just had a phone call - DGSs being delivered early evening tomorrow night - they need a break (DD and DSIL!!). That of course means that the usual about 7 o'clock bed time is out of the window (as they will sleep on way over!) , plus the big gardening weekend won't happen!! Well, these things are so unimportant aren't they? I just love time with my boys. Will have to try best time for delivery on Sunday for the traffic on the bridge!

CrazyC - you are so goodhearted, just like dlb! Actually, just like all of you all.

Have had a few concerns of late re Mogs, what has happened to Penineman? Ccstar please come back, also Valenine - we have been in toucht via pm but not heard or had thanks for weeks. Hope all is OK. Also missed Math. However, I know how it is, I try to keep up but sometimes for a few days (or weeks!) things take over.

    Love to all

    Hi Kyle

Isn't kilt hire expensive? It is so difficult juggling budgets for all these extra things. Glad you are concentrating on the holiday though. I could lend you my 'mother of bride outfit'! Haven't worn it since DD married but it is gorgeous! Real silk so frightened to wear as it is dry-clean but it was just me. I hired a hat [£25) and felt the bees knees!

How is DS1 with his diabetes? Your Mum has kept me up to date time to time. Difficult as it runs in DSIL family so we do watch for signs. DDs FIL has the insulin kit and has to watch when he eats when - you know what I mean.

DS2 - how is the sleep training going. It really did work with our two DGSs. Just having to persevere. No doubt will have to do it with DGS3 when he arrives.

Honest, as your Mum will tell you, it does get easier. I remember the going out at 10 pm, coming home 4 pm teenager stage early 20's with my two. No, we didn't sleep till we heard their key in the door. Even more worry as they could be doing anything! Had years when we didn't drink just in case we were needed! Making up for it now though! Also just in case we had to phonebank taxi fare back from Edinburgh - must admit never had to do it!!

    Love GB
