    Happy anniversary Shez

Pen-Pen, so sorry to hear about the chickens, I agree with donny-gal, sounds like 2 legged foxes to me as well.

I'm late as usual so it will be a late post again from me tonight....

    (((hugs)))

Edit - just been out to see the coots, they are bouncing up and down saying "Yaaaay, Auntie Pink is coming to visit this weekend" I can't wait either (((hugs))) Hun
I'll get the BM on. :)
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Morning everyone

Hope all you ladies having trouble sleeping get a good night soon. Don't want lots of grumpy ladies on this board. :D;)

smokybabe (((hugs))) I'm fighting a similar battle myself and it can really get me down at times. I just have to learn that eating for comfort is really adding to the problem, not helping me feel better. Well done on losing that 1lb. :j You have taken the first step on the road to your goal weight.

Pen-Pen (((hugs))) what a terrible thing to happen. Hope the small penguins are ok.

mrs mix hope DS's arm is ok. My DS shattered his elbow last year and ended up having an operation to pin it back together.

PenPin glad to hear your nephew had such a lovely time.

Last night I did some holiday research on the web as I was totally fed up - yesterday was a bad day. I managed to find a four-day break in Florence for me, DS and DD for £350. I think that is an excellent price and am seriously considering it (despite my previous moans about lack of money  ). May spur me on to lose more weight and save more money.

W**k today, payday for Job 2. :j Then its on to school to do the 100 club draw. After that its home to catch up on the washing, cleaning, etc. A woman's work really is never done.

Hope Thursday is good to you. x

Pen-Pen - so sorry to hear what happened, it happened to us many years ago with our ducks and rabbits, however as donny-gal said - they ate one duck and just killed 2 others and 2 rabbits and left them there - thats what annoyed me more

Taplady - I really like Slimming World, its very easy to do. Am doing ok at the moment and already jeans feel a little looser. Good Luck.

Got quite a lot of filing done yesterday - loads more to do but at least Im halfway there.

DS has got hayfever quite badly today so keeping him home and need to get him some medicine. Hopefully he will occupy himself so can get on again.

Todays plan of action - tidy kitchen. Hoover landing and stairs and all of downstairs. Office - more filing. Later this morning have got an eyebrow wax booked. Need to go chemist to get son hayfever meds and get some money out of the bank. When come home will be more filing and tidying.

    Food today -
    Bfast - yoghurt and fruit
Lunch - beans on toast with small amount of cheese on.
Dinner - loads of pasta with small amount of bol sauce.
    Loads of fruit as snacks.

(DD made cheese scones yesterday at school and I desperatly want some but am managing to resist)

    Have a great day.

    Pen-Pen: Sorry about your chucks.

Mrs Mix; Hope your DS is ok.

    Happy Aniversary Shez

It looks bright and sunny here today so lots of washing to do. Need to get motivated today as we were playing musical beds at 3am. I think that we will be spending the rest of the day in the garden with a short excursion to a UPVC supplier to get a price list for new guttering etc.

Myself and DH have decided that we are going to replace the guttering ourselves we only live in a bungalow and it doesnt look to difficult so we will be doing an area at a time over the summer. This will free up other money to pay for jobs we cant do ourselves.

Must go and put the recycling out
    Have a good day

    Good morning All

Thanks to the local free paper being posted this morning at 6.20am, which set the dog of barking, which then proceeded to waking up the whole household. Im very tired and not happy! I thought your not allowed to post anything untill after 7am?

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Shez have a lovely day

Not sure whether to risk putting some washing out, I look out the back window, its sunny, look out the front window, and its quite dark!

I think Ive managed to sort my hair out after frazzling it yesterday!

Iv got the run of the office today! The manager & other girl is out all day training other franchises, the other part-timer starts when I finish. We have 2 new girls starting next week.

DS face is still swollen, but looks as if it is going down.

    Best jump in the shower
    Have a great day
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning all!

PenPen, are you sure it was a fox?? I might be wrong, but I seem to remember that when a fox gets into a henhouse they massacre everything, but only eat some of it. My parents live in Wales in a rural community where everyone has chooks, and I remember them telling me this. That's the day I decided that foxhunting was no crueller to foxes than foxes are to animals. I mean, it's one thing for a wild animal to kill to eat, but another thing to kill for the pleasure of killing.

Eidted to add: I see Donny and Essex are of the same mind. I shoulda read the whole thread before posting :-)

Anyway, it probably isn't helping me talking about it.

I'm so sorry for your loss, whatever the cause.

Everyone else: you're all being so busy it makes me feel extremely lazy! It;s just been too gorgeous outside to spend time inside doijng anything more than the bare minimum, although I have done lots of washing as I just love seeing it on the line.

DH has a playmate over today, so bread is already out of the BM cooling, ready for sandwiches at lunchtime. I'll have salad for lunch as thecut-and-come-again leaves outside are ready for snipping.

Dinner tonight: oven baked fish and chips for DH. Either HM mushroom soup or pasta for me.

Has anyone seen or heard from Moggins lately? I hope she's OK

Help yourself to a <HUG>, and I'll be back later to catch up

Lovely sunny morning here, I've optimistically put a summery pink vest top on with my suit this morning. 'Spect I'll be shivering later!

PenPen, sorry to hear about the chooks, what a nightmare. Even though they live in a rural village (near Thirsk, as it happens!), my nephew has never had fox/predator problems with his chickens

Anyway, best crack on have got a meeting to go to, and I only put the laptop on to print out the map

    Happy Thursday

    Good morning all!

Penelope Penguin I'm so sorry whatever has taken your chickens. Must admit we've been plagued by foxes for years, messes in the garden and them killing pets. A friend's children lost their pet ducks to foxes, but as many have said they were killed not eaten. Maybe it makes a difference how hungry they are:confused: Whatever, (((((hugs)))) to you and especially the small penguins, because I expect they'll be devestated.

On a happier note Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Shez:love: Enjoy your day!;) :D

mrs_mix do hope DS2 is OK. Hope you don't have too long a wait at the hospital.

Funny day here. It's rained overnight, but stopped now. Still overcast but the sun keeps trying to break through. Want to dry the washing outside (if only for the great smell, as well as money-saving) but don't fancy the performance of pegging it out if I have to rush to get it back in in half an hour!:rotfl: Maybe I'll leave it a little longer and see which way the day's going to go.;)

Masses of clearing up to do today, Lunchclub leaves me so shattered I'm fit for nothing by the time it's done. Thought I'd make a bacon, onion and potato bake for dinner. Once the preparation is done it sits so happily in the oven without any attention, and because I make such a huge one, it's the one dish I can guarantee leftovers, so that's lunch tomorrow taken care of.:rotfl: (And from that last sentence you'd never believe I used to excell at English!!!)

Must fly now and get started.
