View from the forest this mornign is drizzley and grey!

Well Jazmine is feeling a bit better I think. She has fox mange which she gets from rolling in fox poo. So yesterday I spent most of the day chasing after her with half a tablet ( anti inflamms) trying to get her to eat it but she was having none of it! OH managed to squeeze the tablet into a tiny bit of twix caramel and she ate it- finally! I might hyave to pop to the newsagent this moring to find some sort of other treat i can hide the tablet in. She is completely off her own food so hiding it in there isnt going to happen! PLus when I take her for walks, she hunts out some more fox poo to roll in again :wall: Im going to have to keep her on a lead- found myself very exsasperated yesterday - if you spotted a mad girl yelling at a jack russell "dont do that- its just cost me 100 quid!" that was me!

Other than that a fairly lazy one again for me today.

Ive got some washing to put away ( sadly the tuble dryer had to be wheeled out yesterday cos of the rain :( ) and so i have that and a bit more to do.

I have to buy some bits off the internet, making sure I have the best cash back I can :A) and do some adminy type things.

I might have to tackle the oven again, but using OS stuff isnt going to work Ive tried a few times, so im wheeling out the chemical big guns to get it sorted. Probably need to write in a sleep in the afternoon to sleep off the cracking headache Im likely to get from using the chemicals :(

this evening OH and I are going to get stuck in to getting more of our stuff on amazon. Need to also get new credit cards to shuffle our balances.

My veggies are looking good- spinach, lettuce- ready to eat now and my courgettes are steaming along, as are th emange tout. Might pot some other bits up today as well, just to ensure we dont run out over the summer!

    todays feasting is
    Breakfast- cereal
Lunch - OHs having spahghetti hoops on toast at work ( perfect for rainy days!) I might knock up a quick leek & pot soup with some old pots and a stray leek!) and do a HM loaf
Dinner -Chorizo pizza using the BM and HM wedges

have a fab day everyone, and hugs :grouphug: to anyone who needs- or even just wants- one :D

    Love

Ps, hugs to you Pen _ did you watch that prog about foxes on C4 last week. It was really awful :( Poor little penguins too, me as an adult found the TV prog distressing viewing, it must be awful for kiddies to see it "for real " hugs x
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • Hi Guys!

Had a great evening with nephew. DD & him played some board games, hide and seek and watched some Tom & Jerry:rolleyes: ...they had sausage and chips from the chippy (£1 each:D ) and a bread roll too. Didnt get much time to talk with him but showed him the little book and he told me that whenever he feels scared he thinks of something nice. Apparently his nicest memory is when we took him to the Zoo last year..so that was positive. I did go onto to tell him he was a little brat that day and was nearly left there:rotfl: and we all had a chuckle at that;) ...so all in all, he seems ok. He's so eager to learn and wants to go to the same school as DD (4 years away lol), so I said I will pick up some extra learning books for him to do when he visits and we can build his brain up:p

The weather is terrible here today and my body is aching because of it:mad: have a hospital visit this morning and need some eggs, spuds and milk.

No washing till later, DW is on and the cleaner is due here at 08.45:D ...house is all tidy for her.

Anyway, I have to go and many thanks for all the positive comments. I didnt want to be praised up for what im doing as I would do it for any child in need.

    Breakie: Milky coffee
Lunch: Baguette with ham and salad
    Dinner: Shepherds Pie & Veg

    Hugs to all

    PP

    Morning all.

Looks like it's going to be a nice day here today, the sky is blue - yay! OH got home early yesterday so spent the afternoon and evening sorted out more stuff for charity shop and for eBaying. Our grand clear out is going well. We have decided that we are going to put this house on the market so it's all in prep for that really. It's making me feel much more organised too.

WM about to go on and more eBaying/Amazoning today.

Smokybabe - The sooner you know your real weight the sooner you can concentrate on losing, which is what you've done and just think, you'll never be that heavy again, because you've already lost 1lb! Hugs x

PenPen - So sorry to hear about the chickens. We had a farm as I was growing up and we often lost chickens and ducks to the fox, it is so sad. I don't know what to say to help :( Hugs x

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning All

Slept from 11.30pm through to 5.30am so that's a good one for me, three glasses of wine last night with friends who are going away with us in May could have helped:o :o

Bright here, does help you feel good when you see the sun in a morning. Going to brave Spanish this pm so better go and do some revision/homework!!
Good, morning to you all, but it's not a good start here. DH has been down to feed the hens, and they're all gone, spare a few feathers. Looks like we've had a fox. Never seen one before here, as we're in the centre of town, and *town foxes* haven't reached here...........until now!

Pen-Pen I have seen a hen run after foxes, and if there are none left, I would question it's a fox/foxes. They are renowned for getting into a run and killing/scaring to death all the hens but then they only take one or two away and just leave the rest. That is a why they are hated so much as they are destructive without actually needing the food. Maybe they only have two legs?

    Happy anniversary Shez

Think on Smoky, if it's nice, its illegal, immoral or it makes you fat! :rotfl: :rotfl: I know exactly what you mean. Thinking of going back to swimming weekly again, it has helped me before and kinder to your joints than a gym. I've switched my scales to kilograms so I don't see the stones, just watch the movement.

((((hugs and good wishes to all)))) looks like I need to read back to yesterday for what is happening Pen-Pin too busy de-cluttering and blitzing the kitchen yesterday.(A)

  • Morning all :D

Haven't had a chance to catch up on yesterdays thread so I hope everone is OK.

PP - Glad to hear your nephew had a lovely evening :T

Thanks for all the lovely messages yesterday guys, they did make me really happy. Well the plan last night was to go home and get back into OS by making a big batch of chilli but DH took me out to dinner to celebrate instead. He even managed to get a bottle of champers for us to share back home which was lovely. :D

So plan for this evening is chilli! but saying that I do have both parma ham and melon to use up

Anyway, still planning my big clean and tidy through on the weekend so as far as I know that's still on track.

As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed
