Just never been in this position before and the horror storys you read/hear.
Just done a quick add up of the payday loans looking like £4-5k.
I've also applied for another bank account for a fresh start as someone mentioned. Is there anyway I can stop the phone calls and letters from the pd lenders? is it worth giving step change a go?0 -
You can speak to Stepchange and NDL and you are not obliged to do anything more than that.
They will explain your options and they can give you advice on how to handle the PD loan people - the rules have got a lot stricter re the PD laon providers and they will know the score.
Then you can look at the DMP with one of them of another free provider like CAB or self manage. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Will they able to sort the constant calls etc? Maybe a payment plan with them all?0 -
You are entitled to £20.30 per week of child benefit which you should be getting. Also, look into claiming tax credits. HMRC website is good for the info.
Do you need 3 cars when there are only two of you who could drive them at any one time?Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

You stop the calls very simply - you write and remove the numbers from your records and they have to oblige. If they do not, then you report them to the Information Commisioner under the Data Protection Act.
There is a phone letter on here. But wait until you have the income moved to the new account and the SD,DDs for your normal stuff set up.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Ah ok. I didn't see your wife's income on the SOA. However, you are entitled to full child benefit as long as your individual income (each) is under £50k. If you earn £40k and your wife brings in £5k you will be entitled to CB.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
