my grandson started work with them before Christmas he hasn't been paid since beginning of January and has walked his feet off and got lots of sales - rubbish company that doesn't care for their employees surely won't care about the public (customers)
I have been working for EUM for 6 weeks and have never had a problem with them paying me money they owe me goes in every wednesday without fail0 -
I too have worked for EUM for several months and, like the prevous poster have never had problems being paid. If a survey is carried out and submitted correctly EUM do pay surveyors on every one.
The rules on free ECO insulation are an ever evolving beast and currently free cavity wall and loft insulation is available to most privately owned or privately rented homes built before 1983.
Cavities can be insulated as a stand alone measure, lofts as a secondary measure alongside the walls (unfortunately lofts cannot be done without walls at the moment).
With regard to lofts with insulation already fitted, if the depth of the insulation fitted is below 100mm a free top up is available.
As for surveyors performing some kind of con or scam. It simply wouldn't work, there are too many checks in place. EUMs surveyors are all self employed and only get paid if the insulation is actually fitted, so it would be a huge waste of time doing a survey on a property that is unlikely to be able to be insulated.
EUM take customer satisfaction very seriously and if anyone feels unduly pressurised by a surveyor, ask to see their badge, as well as their details it also has the office contact number. Call the office, they will deal with them.0 -
I had both cavity wall insulation and loft insulation work completed by a company called Impact. These installers were contracted by EUM to complete the work following surveys completed by them. I have been left with a hole drilled through into my front room, plaster damage and the loft insulation looks like it has been rolled over the joists, over the loft board and has been laid on top of the cables for electric ceiling lights and they have been pushed back through into the bathroom. When I have contacted EUM, they responded by telling me to contact the installer as they do not deal with issues directly. I am really disappointed with the response from EUM even though photographs were provided and numerous emails sent to the contact who arranged for the work to be completed and dealt with the installation team from Impact.0

I also worked for EUM, they do not have any fitters of there own, most of the jobs are contracted out to "mark group" for install who have a terrible reputation in the industry for not turning up and cancelling perfectly good jobs.
My advice would be to use a local company who do there own fitting, you will get a better job and done in a much quicker timescale.0 -
Eum is a rip off. They employ criminals. Eum went to do an installation at my sisters house and they taken quite a few of her valuable possessions from her bedroom when they was surveying her loft. My sister was attending to her newborn baby. When the police looked into it they also found there was a few sex affenders working for this Birmingham team and also in the Portsmouth area. One of the managers is still working there and he is on the sex affenders register is name us Craig underhill. Stay clear of this compony0

We had a visit yesterday from someone wearing the EUM Consultants day glow jacket. All very credible, said he is a surveyor, did the survey for cavity wall insulation etc. While he was doing that, I checked other out on this site, this thread, and Google generally, and felt all looked good. At the end, he pulled out paperwork completed, signed etc. then I noticed the paperwork had another company's name on it - Central Energy Services. I challenged him as to who they are and why he was wearing the EUM coat. He said CES is just another service from the same firm. Having checked out Central Energy Services Ltd, their website is only part built, no user reviews to be found anywhere on the Internet, and a financial history check on them, Does not make happy reading. Beware!0
