As I said earlier use http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/ enter you house number and psotcode, tick "detailed view" this will give your transmitters and bearings.
I have just done that so what do I go by of I use a compass?0 -
A mobile phone app?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Basically yes.
How do I get the bearing off the website and apply them to the compass so I can align the aerial?0 -
Right have an idea now.
If i am connecting a 6 way amp to to the installation how would I do this as I have no plugs in the loft?0 -
You can install a FCU in the loft fed from the lighting circuit to supply the amplifier via a 3amp fuse. If the power supply for the amplifier is a plug in transformer feed a 13A socket from the FCU.
FCU = http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/electrical/switches-sockets/white-switches-sockets/connection_units/MK-DP-Switched-Connection-Unit-Spur-White-13A-92897800 -
Was just googling and discovered this.
When I have my aerial set up can I run the coax cable to the back of the sky box then take a RF output and run that cable into the loft and connect it to the UHF input on my 6way amp so will this give me freeview as well and sky signals coming from the amp?0 -
Kurtis_Blue wrote: »Yes it will give the currently selected Sky channel as well as freeview.
If you buy an amp that has "ir pass" then you can also fit "magic eyes" to control the stb from the remote locations.
Thanks Kurtis.
So the slx 6 + 1 amplifier will not do the job? It doesn't have an ir pass?0
