If he was earning 60k pa 10 years ago, and his job hasn't changed then go through the CSA cos he is earning a hell of a lot more than £3000 a month if he is still employed by the same company...!!!
Yes still with same company but has now had he says a 20000 pay cut. Pretty sure there has been a pay cut. No other children in new relationship.0 -

So he has had NO pay rises, but taken a £20,000 cut...! If he only had 2% raise for 8 of the 10 years. He would still be on around £50000 now, not the £40,000 he claims
And i cannot see he had NO rises in 10 years, and 2% would be very small i have to say...!
bite the bullet and contact CSA. If he really is worried, he will offer more the minute the letter hits his doormat...!
You may just find out exactly how much he has lied to you over the years, and how little he has paid compared to what he should of been...!!!
You may also find out you get less.. Unlikely but possible...!
You are in a very fortunate situation though, as you have been getting a whole heap more than most have ever even considered... SO you might come across as a little greedy whatever you say...

But yes I agree the OP should contact the CSA and open a case, they may get more they may get the same, they may get less, but from the OP's posts, it is not about the actual amount recieved, it's about the correct assesment

I am very aware there is and has been a recession, but that has NOT been the case for the last 10 years, and in fact for the 1st 5 years it would of been more like 3 or 4% raises.
I am not saying he wouldn't of had a pay cut the last 2 years, but after such a long time, it is very unlikely that his actual pay is £20,000 less than the £60,000 he was earning 10 years ago...!
OP, if you ever find out then please let us know, i would be curious to know just how much this man has lied...!
It will be easy to work out for yourself, if you do put in a claim to get the correct amount, then it will be 15% of his net, so you can work it out for yourself...!!!
Also remember, that they will want his last 2 or 3 payslips, so that may include a xmas bonus which he could get taken off as not normal, but then they should average across the years earning if they do this... So you would get an accurate figure...0 -
If his net is £3k then, assuming regular tax code, his salary will be over £50k
Many companies have not given pay rises for years. In the company my husband worked for many people had not had an increase for 8 years+ and there were cases of salary decreases of up to 25% (and this was a large global company)0 -

I will post as soon as I have a resolution. I have tried to reason with this man, to be honest I feel like giving up!! He convinced me that all the over payments ( according to him,I have no idea if over paid or not) would be deducted.0 -

There are NO overpayments on his part... Everything until now has been voluntary and will NOT be taken into account, even after you open a case if he paid you then that "could" still be classed as voluntary and he be made to pay it again if you denied it was CS... That is a whole other story though...
Put in a claim, wait a couple of weeks, and see what he says/does...!!! If he really wants to pay then you can have the assessment done by the CSA and then come to a private agreement after that is less or more, that is your choice, you just close the case or ask for it to be moved to maintenance direct, direct is better as the case stays open, but if he stops paying, you phone them and they can activate on the assessment immediately and then he would start owing money very quickly...
Either way, if you have a doubt about what he is saying then you would be crazy to not use the CSA at least for assessment...0 -
Were you married?
If he was earning £60k+ ten years ago it is suprising that you didn't get spousal maintenance as well at least in the beginning.0
