When I went there earlier this year with a friend, we got 2 photos printed on a4 size photo paper, not that great quality though, and a cd so we could print them out ourselves. I paid a £60 deposit and used that to put towards purchasing some more photos than just the free one so i didn't have to worry about waiting for a refund cos I read these pages and didnt want the hassle. It was an Ok day, didnt get as much drink as they made out we were to get and its smaller than you think, me and my friend were there about 3 and a half hours altogether, enjoyed it though.

I was contacted today by James (and have had a number of missed calls from this number on my phone as well). I'm naturally a sceptic and after being asked to pay my deposit over the phone, I told him I'd left my card at work and would get back to him, while I went to go look up the company.

He told me the company was called Covergirl Studio (so it took me a little longer to find this thread), and their website is : http://www.covergirlstudio.co.uk/

So just be aware that they may now be using a second company name

I was scamed as well! doh! they are good at it - i can give them that. I read all the posts here but decided to just go and see what it was like. to be honest it was actually ok. quite a bit of waiting around but the make up was nice, the photoshoot a bit of fun. just dont get sucked into buying the photos at the end! Just say, absolutely not, way too expensive! And i told them i had a train to catch (which was true) so they rushed us through a bit!

honestly, if you have fallen for it, just go and enjoy it. We got our £60 back too within a week so no probs.

However, i was contacted again by some other studio! Just dont fall for it again lol!

Well I've been done also. I joined Myoffers earlier this week and entered a load of competitions , this was Wednesday I think. I got a call last night saying that I'd won a free makeover and photoshoot worth £500.00 - I vaguely remember entering a competition of that nature and as they had my details I assumed it was legit .... WRONG. I let them take £60.00 from my account and it wasn't until I got off the phone and thought about it that I realised I'd be done. What worries me is that these people are now claiming I entered a competition through myoffers - they have my phone number / address and name. I've rung my bank this morning as the transaction is pending on my account and I explained what had happened and how I was suspicious of this especially as it was £60.00 and I thought they said £30.00 anyway the bank has cancelled my card and issued a new one sxc o the transaction will not be processed. I can't beleive that I was conned as I am the most suspicious of these things but i think I thought I had entered something and the fact that they had all my details - it is very very worrying. I have a 6 months old and I had such a bad day yesterday I can't beleive me luck. I've informed myoffers and I've deregistered with them - they obviously giving out information to some dodgy people. The number that rang me was 02076310485.

hi i also got coned last night by these people i did enter the comp i admit but having a bad time recently they phoned up said i won second prize and i was thrilled so i coffed up the £30 deposit for me and i paid £30 deposit for my husband to go since i tried to find out more about them this site came up and i emediatly tried phoneing them constantly no answer so i have rung my bank and credit card company up and they have cancelled my card so the company cant use it for anything else and i just got to wait for the £60 to clear for the credit card company to do a dispute and hopefully get my money back thanx for all the ppl posting on this site i wont be fallin for that again cus frankley i havent really got the money to go splashin it around the person i spoke to is called ricky and the number is 02076310272 no other numbers
p.s has anyone won the 1st prize for this comp???

Do not go near them! I am currently trying to get my money back as they took 2 lots of money out of my account. I have been waiting 10 days for my money and they still have not given it to me. Also its not just you that wins the compotiton. You are stuck in a small room for 6 hours with loads of other 'winners' and are left with out no food or drink. DONT NOT USE THEM!!!!

i tried gettin money back 60 quid but i havent been able to get in touch with them my bank cant do nothin about it apparently so i have lost 60 quid they cant get anymore money cus my bank has cancelled that card and got a new one im just putting this as one of them life mistakes one thing tho are they allowed to put you can have your money back after your appointment??? oh well never mind im keepin them in mind and warning others not to go near them

I wouldnt either bother going. I went, had my photos taken and all that. We waited, (my boyfriend and i) 6 hours in theis place. When i 1st got there they had made a mistake on the date as they had put my appointment in the 2008 diary. They make you feel special by saying you have won something but when you get there you are stuck in a waiting room with aload of other 'winners'. They do weekly competitions and everybody is a winner. This is how they make there money. We had some lovely photos taken but once you said you liked them, they rope you in. One month they took 2 lost of payment out of my account which is illigal as i did not give them athourisation for this. I tried calling an emialing but had no luck. I was told that Gladis would get back to be but no, still no luck. When i finally did get to speak to her after 3 weeks of them having my money she said that she needed to see a copy of my statement. Even though she knew it was her fault. I finally called again for the last time on the 20th Dec and she took my details and refunded my money. Its stupid as i even know there telephone number of by heart i have called it so many times. I got through on 02075803999. Its takes a few times to get through as they are always on the phone but this is the number that is in the studio. I just erge people not to go near this company. They take your money ans they only give you your photos on a CD.

I won the competition and recieved a call and being a fool i am i wanted 2 do it! So i went on saturday and had my make up and hair done straight away which was really pleasing. I waz with my boyfriend so he took like 2 minutes which was good. The studio was really nice . We then had our photos done which was great! I loved the photographer cos she made us feel so comfortable not that we are not unphotogenic! I thought this day was wicked. The only downside was that the pictures were majorly expensive cos we brought 16 for £390 which included my deposit which i was curouis about. But my boufriend really wanted them and it was so worthit. It was annoying that they were only on disk cos i thought they would be able to afford printed copies as well! And it said that we would get cocktails and i only had an apple juice! It waz an expensive day and wouldn't do it for a long time but it waz wel worthit espeicially when you get the comments from the photos!
