I don't know how Google does it, but I think Gsmarena does it better:

Thanks for that Grumbler, the basic comparison is similar to the one I'd already found, but the forum part is very useful.

I've done a side-by-side comparison of the P and J, courtesy of Google, it was last night so I can't now remember all the differences.

In a lot of areas there's little difference, but in several core areas there is. The P only comes with Android 2.3 but there's an upgrade to ICS available, and the latest is that both phones are due to be upgraded to Jelly Bean.

The one potentially critical area where the P suffers is in having no memory card slot, but as I don't download/store music or films on my phone then the P's 16GB of internal storage will be more than enough for me.

Could I ask how your friend/colleague gets on with the P's battery life? That does seem to be a potential issue as it surprisingly has a smaller battery
    .

I'm at work today and my colleague is sitting opposite, he informs the upgrade to ICS created lag, poorer battery life ( just about a day's use) and wifi instability, there is another SW upgrade, but he cannot download it at present.

Thanks for that. Grumbler's link included a forum and there are several people complaining there about poor wi-fi after upgrading to ICS. Poorer battery life is a surprise as a number of people, across a number of different phones, report improved battery life after upgrading to ICS! I'm not sure exactly when, but I think the J and the P are due an upgrade to JB during this year's 1st quarter.

Here's a possible tip for your colleague re his ICS upgrade. I came across something on HUKD last night, and it seems that Sony themselves recommend that you do the upgrade via your PC rather than directly with the phone, supposed to make a huge difference and basically the phone operates as it should do.

    Hope this helps.
