    Afternoon all,

Last of family left yesterday, so am now trying to sort myself out and get back to normal....did a shop this morning and will hopefully not need to shop again for a couple of weeks. All children now safely in their own homes and back at work.

Cold and miserable here, OH is just lighting the living room fire, will then turn heating off and stay in one room, he feels the cold badly, so will keep a roaring fire going.

Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful new year, stay safe and warm.

    Welcome to Peanut 2013 !

Well, the Christmas decorations are down, and the house is tidier. I enjoy the Christmas decorations, but there comes a point when it's time to move forward and start normal life again.

I couldn't cope with having the decorations up until Jan6, that's far too long - Christmas wouldn have outstayed it's welcome.

That's it, I now have a non christmas home, all decs boxed up and taken upstairs. :j DH took the trees to recycle. Unfortunately he wants to put more insulation boards in 2 of the attics so all of the boxes are stacked up along the landing.
Had very little needle drop, less than 1/4 of a dustpan. Bet yah I'll still find some come Easter.
Didn't have time to clean all pictures but I did vacume the floors and stone walls and put some of the sofa covers back on but had to use the td.
DH is engrossed in Suduko and I'm off for a long soak as I feel I'm covered in dust. Where does it all come from ?

Donny Gal, have a safe end of trip home.
    Peanut welcome onboard

LW oh dear that lab sounds much like Luna. Problem is when she was a puppy she was obviously so cute people rushed over to fuss her. Kinda set a precedent in her head that she can take off and see people and unfortunately jump up at them :o:o:o DD is fine ;)

Peanut enjoy your maternity leave :)

Aw, I have a Luna too! Except she's a 1 year old Orange roan Cocker

    Evening All

Well, I am home. 11 days away and I am glad to be here, only all the christmas decorations are still up and I want it all to be clutter free! I have taken some of the cards down but DD and I will have a good tidy up tomorrow and get it all in the loft. I have enjoyed my time away but have missed being able to potter with my own things!

Donny - I travelled up the M6 today and there were loads of caravans and motorhomes, I presume all coming home after new year. Safe travels to you.

Hugs to those of you having a bad time, especially Jools. I will have a catch up on here and then go for a bath to warm up, it seems warmer outside than in the house as it's been without any heating for so long. Came back to find DD had left the hall lights on - there are 23 downlighters left on for 5 days and nights!! Take care. XX
