    Morning everyone :D

H back to work today :( he will be home tomorrow night.
Kids off til next Monday so plans are to walk the dog with them in tow and then drag them food shopping
Determined to get back into meal planning, regardless to whether H is away or coming home late, been really slack about it since he started working away etc.

Think tea will be a simple baked spud with lots of salad, craving it often after all the rich Christmas food and goodies :o

Hugs and spoons all round xxx

Flutterby hope everything goes well today xx

Elacla hope your DS gets on OK too xx

RR good news about your mum x

    Esmf feel better soon xx

Morning and Happy New Year everyone,

Flutterby and Elacla DS Good luck for the operations.

    Jools and Uncle Bryn Hugs.

RR Hope your mum is feeling better.

emsf Bug sounds horrid, hope you get over it soon.

We saw in the new year as a family at a friend's house, curry and party games, it was really fun.

OH and I went for a long (and very muddy) walk yesterday where we met 2 lovely labradors, one of them jumped up me and the poor owner was mortified at the state of my coat and offered to pay to have it dry cleaned, I had to explain that it was like that before the dog got anywhere near me!:D

Now I am going to start tidying up, the cards came down yesterday and I think I will make a start on the decorations.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning :hello:

Yesterday I watched Alan Carr's new year thing, I laughed so hard I was crying :D Why can't real life parties be like that?

I'm armed with homemade notebooks. Lovely, new, shiny notebooks :D I'm going to write a list, then split it into many, many detailed lists. Then organise them into different books and enjoy crossing things out when I've achieved them :D

Just realised I haven't got a calendar, will have to make one today. Mr tru brought some free diaries home from work, A5, day to a page. I choose the Polyfloor one because it has pretty colours on the front :D

It's very much a return to normal day.

We're just going to pop out and have an M&S coffee, then come back and take the decorations down. Then I can give everywhere a good dust, when the cards are gone from the surfaces.

When we put the decs back in the loft, I'm going to bring down a bit of stuff for decluttering.

Dinner will be the other half of yesterday's salmon en croute, so not too much in the way of cooling to be done.

Morning all, it was dry when I took Jack out but since de-cluttering DD to work and her friend to his home it has started drizzling. Was so hoping for another dry day. Going to tidy up and then go for lunch with my friend once she has finished her Radiotherapy. Dinner is sorted for today as we were very naughty yesterday and had a takeaway. Trying to eat out of freezer and cupboards until the weekend and then will do meal plan and frugal shop. We all need to lose weight so portion control and meal planning will be enforced.
Hugs to all in need esp Jools and unclebryn. Molly and LW hope the BD is staying away. Redruby great news about your Mum and esmf hope you feel better soon. Thinking of FB and eclaca's DS hope the ops go well.
Have a good day all esp if you are back to work:)

  • Good morning everyone :)

I had great plans for starting to get back into normal hours to prepare for return to work, so went to bed at usual time but then proceeded to read a book until after 2am and still couldn't get to sleep then. Will try again tonight.

OH and I had another roast dinner last night to use up beef and left over veggies and Yorkshire puds. All left overs are now gone but we still have lots of unopened Christmas food in cupboard, fridge and freezer. It's time to sit down and make a meal planning list to see what we can eat ASAP, it could be cheese on biscuits and Oriental snacks for weeks!

We watched The Girl about Alfred Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren last night on iPlayer last night. Gosh Mr Hitchcock was as frightening and menacing as some of his films, and more of a predator than any he put on screen. It's really no wonder she only made two films with him.

Am going to start a new scarf today in brown and cream stripes. This one is definitely going to be mine so will not show it to DH until I am wearing it.

Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super day :)

Good morning, I have posted here many moons ago.

Up bathed, hair done and waiting for DD to get up, we are off to the pictures to see Pitch Perfect. I might pop into town after to see if there are any food bargains/offers on.

I have checked our bank accounts, our resolution is to have more in savings at the end of the year than we have now. With 4 children, one at uni, one starting college and one big school it is not going to be easy!

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever your plans.
