    Hi all

I just spent over an hour making headings for lists, not just special occasions ones but towards having a proper household manual. At least 20 minutes was spent trying to locate my 2012 diary.

I realised that this year I totally overlooked having a special occasions notebook so have a lot to do.

It brought back memories of the time I first joined this thread before mum2one took over, think it was originally based on that American Organising Christmas website. Do any of you still follow their plans?

SugarSpun - Massive congratulations, can't wait to see pics.

Angela - one of those notebooks would be a look cheaper.

Susan - Typical - is there much damage to the bonnet, you could always sell as spares or repairs, hopefully a bonnet wont be too much and you can get someone to do it (thou I'd go parts or spares and repairs). Scrap - I managed to get £140 for dads car - but a couple of garages offered between £70 and £100.

    The Holiday!
It wouldn't be a holiday if there wasn't an incident - a full family one in this case - 10 miles from the site - just come off an island - dad thought he'd hit a can, I said no youve been hit..... (sods law as I was leaning against the window having 40 winks - quick way to move the ear wax0.

Nice bit of cosmetic damage to the back door and the wheel arch..... booked in a garage for when we go half term - the 3rd party coughed up in full ;) - he didn't want his access affected he drove a posh BMW - but when he eventuall swopped details the ins was in another persons name with him as a driver!!

(me betting young lad, daddy fronting the ins - his excess was 1k:rotfl: - car repair lot cheaper - we had a nice surprise Sat ngt - he was looking for us with a nice penny or 3........

The best was Miss hoodie, she knew she had a couple of little presents at home, Sunday lunch - we gave the ladies in the cafe a little present for xmas - then Miss hoodie found 2 presents for her
1st off dog - ipod docking station - she was amazed
2nd present - ipod - she opened it, screamed her head off and asked was it real, are you sure its real......
She'd seen it (been looking through amazon account) so we said the neighbour opposiate who wanted it for his g/f - told Miss Hoodie that I'd paid Amazon vouchers (from car ins) and we had the cash from the neighbour!!

Even managed to stop at icecream farm on way home.

Nice surprise 2ngt - were away Oct half term, same site again, the lady whose van were hiring shes upgraded us free of charge.... xx

1st 2 xmas presents wrapped and delievered. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Gld you were all ok Mum2one and you got the money to get the car sorted. Sounds like Miss Hoodie liked her ipod lol.

Anglea - I have never been on that American site, just used to follow what was going on in this one years ago. I do a spreadsheet with all my people on it but make sure I back it up on a memory stick as a few times I have lost it through computers going wrong.

I have done the top of the quilt I am making, just need to finish hand quilting it, reckon about 8 days worth or so.

Dont know what I can make the other grandchildren this year, I usually make them something but the boys are all getting big now. Two of them had cushions during the year for their birthdays so might make the other one a cushion with his team on but not sure what to do for the other two. Granddaughter might be a bit easier to find something for but dont know what at the moment lol.

I`d like to see the quilt too rufus :-)

That was a good idea with the film clapper moneypenny

Mum2one - omg re accident, glad everyone and everything ok, and great news on miss hoodies ipod and upgrade. You deserve it.

I`m going to make so personalised coffee / latte mugs today, so fingers crossed it will work ok, I`m very clumsy at the moment, not sure why.

angela - i remember those sites, but dont follow them anymore, perhaps I should have a revisit , suss things out again

Thanks to mum2one I am alot more organised but seem a bit confused lately , senior moment I think lol

Thxs willow and m2one, Idid think of the scrap / parts route. I remember taking an old laptop apart, got more than if I sold a new one. In fact might have another go of that, have a few things to sell.

DS won a 32" 3d tv so I`ll sell that I think, as OH has lots of tv`s, thats his weakness I think . Think I`ll give ebay a go, anyone else join me?

Susan - those glasses are brilliant, where did you get them from, and the stuff that makes the ingrain??
They would look lovely with a sachet of hot choc in.

Been shopping and brought Miss Hoodies Xmas prezzie....... she needs a new laptop, been trying to save some Amazon, so it was going to be £100 me, £100 mum, £100 amazon....
then - mum had 10% discount Argos (valid till end of OCt), saw a laptop reduced £380 down to £280 - with the discount got it for £245......

Same one on Amazon £400...... Even managed to get it without her noticing.... she was too busy looking at new mobile phones, - her bday money was burning a hole.

Across to carphonewarehouse - slight family domestic... she wanted to spend £150...... then £100 on Nokia Lumux.. (slightly better) but the advisor suggested another one does the same as Lumux but its android not windows was £150 but if she does it as an upgrade -£75 so after 30mins she said she'd have the £75... got to wait to Fri for it to come in!!!

As Miss Hoodie was off due to teachers strike - went to local market - treat bag of sweets... and brought my 1st present for 2014..... got 3 books for £2 true life I survived abuse - for Aunt (she is nanny to Miss Hoodie) so thats her mothers day present done!

    xxx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
