Thanks for dropping by indebted2u, I appreciate it

Well, where has the week gone? I can't believe that it's nearly Friday (and am also relieved!) I am pooped! Started the new job on Monday, they'd told me in the interview that it would be 9-5. It is actually going to be 7:30- 5:30, 4 days a week. Now the 4 day week I am delighted about, but these 7:30 starts involve me leaving the house at 6:15 and I am just not used to it!! The job is thus far lovely though (aside from the early start!) so I'm not really complaining.
Back to the money.... Trying to remember what I've spent this week... £15 in Tesco on Monday and then about £10 on random bits of food along the way. Not great, but I've needed the odd coffee/biscuit to keep myself pepped up!
OH got paid yesterday so I'll go to Satwest and pay in at the weekend. I now have £150 of 'my' money left to last me till pay day. This seems highly unlikely, but I must try! I'll stick to my guns for now.
Take care everyone xLBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Barclaycard £1980 Unsecured Natwest loan £7216. Virgin Money £5991 (@0% until Aug 2015). Natwest credit card £0. Halifax overdraft £1000.0 -
Spent £10 on food in M&S on Friday post work. From a money saving point of view, this was unnecessary. From an emotional point of view I felt I deserved/needed it. Will try not to do this in future.
Spent £25 on afternoon tea with a friend yesterday. Then didn't need to have any dinner so all good in a way.
Spent £20 in Primani on some throws for the sofa. Needed x2 of them to cover up the holes that the dog made and I can't find a way to repair as yet. Needed x1 to snuggle under as the dog has made holes in the original one! Haven't put the heating on as yet so felt that these were necessary purchases!
My winter wardrobe sucks! I have x1 pair of jeans and x2 pairs of leggings. x1 warm coat. Not many bits to put with the aforementioned items. I was so tempted to buy some bits yesterday but now am pleased I didn't. I've got about 6kg which I'm on a mission to lose, so I'm going to stay on my mission to lose before buying any more clothes. I will just have to do frequent washing in the meantime. Besides, spending on clothes would completely derail me from my money plan for the month (trying to save some if not all of OH's rent money). Thank God I wear a uniform at work!!
Nearly had to spend £60 on a stethoscope, but friend I was having tea with yesterday has a spare- result!
Money saving goal for the forth coming week, don't spend any money on food at work. Right, I'd better get cooking now then!LBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Hmmm been wasting money again, £10 here, £20 there, fritter fritter! I blame my awful working schedule. I'm so tired I can't get to the bottom of it really. I'll come back and write more at the weekend, when my brain is working again! Just wanted to check in... XLBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Hi I hope you are well. Keep your head up with your money saving it will pay off in the end.
Hope you're enjoying your new job (even though the hours are long) couple of days off now though hopefully?
Do you have much planned for the weekend?

Hey Princesssparkle, thanks for popping by... How are things with you? I hope you had a good weekend? Mine went by in a blur, although I didn't do anything exciting, caught up on some sleep though

Morning everyone! I have a welcome day off work today. I'm meant to be on my induction but day 3 got postponed so I'll just be back for day 4 tomorrow. Quite a relief really as I've almost lost my voice! Had to (finally) put the heating on yesterday. I think the combination of living in a cold flat, loads of early starts (and being more cold outside due to my minimal wardrobe!) and the new job has given me this cough. Still don't want to buy anymore clothes until I lose weight though...
Pay day is 10 days away. I have £80. Technically a bit more as OH owes me a few quid.
Travel is paid for, as is the gym. I might make it to pay day without dipping into the next pay packet already?! Just food to worry about really...
My moneysaving plans have changed a little. I've been meaning to go and see my elderly Father who lives in Thailand for ages now. Early Jan will be the only opportunity for months and months, so the tickets are booked
I'm determined to have them fully paid for by the time that we leave (6 weeks) so that means £189/week needs to get paid off. Hopefully with OH's weekly contributions, this will be possible.
Of course, there's Christmas to pay for in the meantime. I'm sure it's going to be a bit expensive, I'm definitely trying to minimise the wastage now!LBM early Jan 2013. Ahh, had a nice lazy day. Cleaned the flat, ordered pizza (bad for my body and my bank balance I know!) took the dog out and just chilled really.
I really need to write something down re: paying for the flights and Christmas or I can see it all spiralling out of control. So here goes:
Flights:
2x tickets at £565 each = £1130 to be paid back by the time we leave (NYE) Six weeks left to go then. So I need to pay back £189 per week. I have asked OH to up his bills money by £40/week so that he's at least paying for some of his ticket. So if he actually does this then that's the £189 covered. If not, then I'll just need to put the extra £29/week myself. My birthday, OH birthday are coming up. My Mum normally gives us around £300 for that and Christmas so that's my sneaky back up plan to put towards the flights if OH doesn't come good. Well he'll have to give me some money towards his flight at some point, or he is really taking the pee! So that's the flights sorted.
Christmas:
I don't actually need to exchange gifts with too many people. Just my Mum, OH and the BF. OH and I like to go quite OTT with the gifts (well we are scrimping for the rest of the year!!) so I've allocated him £200. So far I've spent £110. For that he's got 2 pairs of Vans, 3 nice T-shirts, a posh cardigan, 3 bracelets, socks, perfume. I'm going to an outlet village with the BF a week on Saturday so I may get the rest then. I just need to remember £90 to go. No going crazy!! I'll also get Mum and the BF there too (without her seeing lol!)
As for the rest of Christmas... I have £95 in M&S vouchers at the moment, so that can go towards food. I will have triggered on my rewards card for another £100 voucher of some description by then so hopefully I will get one for a store which could go towards Christmas food/stuff.
If I get Christmas covered with my November salary then I'll be happy.
Phew, that's better, feel like I can forget about that lot now!
On another note, I really can't walk around looking like a tramp (with a very limited wardrobe!) for much longer. Also, don't want to feel like a fat lump in Thailand. So starting tomorrow- gym and healthy food. It's only 6 weeks, surely I can stick to it for that long!LBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Abstracted £200 from OH
Will pay it in when I can get to the bank.
Didn't enjoy the dinner I made tonight but at least I'm learning, it was from the freezer and it was healthy. Will try again tomorrow
Nothing else to report really. First day non-supernummary at work tomorrow. So reality is going to bite, hope it goes OK....LBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Nope, still not into the frozen food thing. The peas were nice though!
Work went OK, think I'm getting into it...
Got paid today but they'd taken money for a pension that I didn't want. I'll be able to claim it back for next month though.
I paid all my bills today (including the flights, few Christmas bits) and my money is literally all gone. I've got £190 from OH's money this week to pay into the bank on Sunday and that is it. So I do hope that OH behaves himself and keeps his job, or I am in big trouble!
I'd better get myself to bed, work in the morning yaaaawn!LBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Barclaycard £1980 Unsecured Natwest loan £7216. Virgin Money £5991 (@0% until Aug 2015). Natwest credit card £0. Halifax overdraft £1000.0
