Did everything on my list today except have my free coffee and organise the top half of my flat, I'll do the flat tomorrow.

£56 left in my purse to last until Wednesday... Doubt I'll be able to save any of it unless a miracle occurs like I find some money in the street! Going out tonight for a friends birthday. I'm tempted to hail back to my student days and have a few 'pre drinks' on my way there in the form of some voddie I already have in my hip flask.... Sounds a bit alkie (which I'm not btw!) but I do like to join in the party spirit and I really really want to get to pay day not in debt!! It's so very nearly within reach!! Hope we can take a night bus back, but it's in a bit of a non bus friendly location so we'll see..

Hmmm, I also hope that I can pay my rent on my upcoming charge card plan (it's amex and apparently not everywhere accepts it). Just have to try I suppose.

The Halifax switch thing is going through, will be done by 15th November, just hope it was a good idea and they do actually switch all my DDs as they say that they will... I'm tempted to use the £100 to put toward my £328 cc bill. But that would be cheating I think? I'll try and pay it off with out it.. Organised all my Boots stuff yesterday and I really do have enough toiletries for a whole year, plus I have the £85 of points which will no doubt come in handy...

    Enjoy the night everyone xx

Situation at the end of the weekend:
Went out and spent all bar £10 of my money last night :( But, it was a great night :)
Spent £40 on my card today. But, I have £18.50 in my purse as OH contributed.

So, I'm £20 down from what I'd thought would be the worst case scenario (spending all my money!) Ho hum, not the end of the world, although I clearly could've done better!!

The only way things are going to balance out now is if I put my £100 Halifax switching money towards paying off my credit card. So I'll do that.

    £368 - £100 from Halifax = £268
    £268 - £160 (OH and my pay day) = £108
Pay off £108 with OH pay day this week =done!

Would only leave me with £60 until my pay day so I might still be a few quid down as we need to buy train tickets to go see my brother next weekend.

Roll on pay day, thats all I can say lol!

    Happy Sunday everyone xx

More realistic thing to do- pay off £62 with OH wages this week. Then use £36 of my wages (which I'd previously thought I'd do anyway) plus there's £10 extra in my bank account to use as well. And then to stay on the straight and narrow lol! X

Into my last week in this job :) Spent £2 so far (sheer boredom really, bought a diet coke and a snack to pep myself up a bit!) Will have to spend a bit more on the way home as there's no food at home. Will go to the co op near work, they usually have a good 'yellow sticker' selection. Will try and get enough cheapies to last us until OH gets paid on Wednesday.

    Quick update, few spends today....

Bought OH a birthday card (it's not until December 29th but I would have had to have bought one anyway!) £2.69. Was in WHS trying to take advantage of their O2 moments free bag offer and didn't want to look like too much of a cheap skate! They didn't have the bag though... You win some and you lose some!

Spent £9.63 in Sainsburys on essentials (food for us and the dog). Got a free litre of almond milk thanks to a forum tip so was happy about that. The £9.63 went on my credit card as I now have £5.80 in my purse until OH gets paid. So I'll need to pay an extra £10 off my credit card than planned from OH's wages this week. OMG I can not wait to get paid myself!! Thank God it's only a week to go!!

Applied for a free trial of a credit report service on topcashback and £8.90 has tracked already :)

Just need to apply for a job for OH now and then settle down in front of Geordie Shore xx

Almost a NSD today. Spent £1.20 on a nut bar on the way to work as I didn't have time for breakfast.

Thank God that OH will get paid today. Hope his boss doesn't mess that up!

Need to pay £70 into my account to put towards my credit card. This will leave me £90 to last the rest of the week. I'm going to delay buying a travel card until Wednesday (my pay day), when I will get a monthly one. This will also coincide with the first day that I actually need to venture into zone 1. Will also delay my Portuguese lesson until after Tuesday (as I'll be off work anyway) in order to wait for pay day. So, as the £90 will then only be going on my social life, hopefully I might be able to save some of it. Every time I say that it never seems to happen though oops! I will try my best though.

Right, time to get off the computer and get home!

Bit of a fail today! Tried to pay my rent with the Amex card and they don't accept it :( Means I'd have to spend £670 a month on it to get the rewards (£100 voucher) and I really don't think I will do that. Or would I?! I've never got any of my wages left, or any of OH's rent money so maybe I would?! That could just be because I'm always throwing my money at debts though... I suppose that it is Christmas, my birthday and OH's birthday coming up, so I guess I'll just put absolutely all spending on the charge card and see what happens. I won't get the £100 in time for Christmas, but it wouldn't hurt to have it anyway. I really want to be super in control of my spending though from the minute that I get paid next week so I think I'll see how I go with it and also see how good the app/online banking is so that I can keep track of everything.

Bit annoyed that I paid £7 to get documents certified to get the card in the first place. I will get x2 airport lounge passes free with the card so I suppose I could look at it as having paid just £7 for those... I'm sure I could eat/drink my body weight in freebies when there to make it worthwhile lol!

I did however, pay my rent on a different credit card which gives me cash back, so this could be a good way to pay my rent and get something back. I'll see how it goes.

Into the last boring hour at work, better let my colleague go for her break. Can't wait for it to be my last day here tomorrow- woo hoo!

OH got paid and paid me his rent :) Have decided to put £80 in the bank to put toward the cc. Going out for Halloween and having friends round for dinner on Sunday so reckon I may struggle to save any of the remaining £80 but as ever, I will try my best!!

Last day in the horrible job done :) Now 6 days off :):)

I now have £193 in my purse as I got £40 in a card as a leaving gift from a patient ( so sweet and i love my patients, just hated the organisation). So i will pay in £100 to the bank tomorrow, which i'll pay straight off my credit card. Maybe I should pay in more, but I feel like I will end up needing the £93 over the next few days. As ever I'll try and hang onto some though. I'll aim for £13, that way the cc will be covered by OH wages and my Halifax money alone.

Hope everyone is having a good evening, going to try and get some sleep now x

Feeling care free and in the mood to spend money (think I'm in celebratory mode re: leaving my job!) This must stop as I'm skint!!

    Plan for the day:
Go to personal training (already paid for)
Plan what I'm going to cook for dinner on Sunday when we have friends over. (Obviously this will be in a somewhat non bank breaking manner!)
Go to Satwest and pay in £100. Also get my name changed on my credit card (been meaning to do that for ages).
Maybe get some cheap Fancy dress for myself and OH (might be going to a party tonight)
Go to Asda and buy the necessary (hopefully cheapish ingredients)
Go to B&Q and buy some kind of tape to fix my sofa (been meaning to do that for ages too!)

So the 2 obvious pitfalls for blowing money will be tonight and the dinner tomorrow night. Will do my best (although failed spectacularly last weekend!!)

Yup, spent all my money on the night out!! Paid £110 off my cc though. Which means it can be paid off solely with my halifax money and OHs pay. Just got today and tomorrow to get through without spending and then its pay day :)
