    I think the new ones are nicer than the old ones. Am going to test drive both and then make a decision.

    The Astra doesn't hold it's value particularly well, if your choosing between the i30/Cee'd and the Astra I'd choose one of the others. More equipment and cheaper. Would still prefer something German/Japanese.

    The Astra is German.

    Astras will never hold resale value well since they give minimum 20-25% discounts when buying new. Insignia is officially the discount queen - 36% off (average 33% off across Europe).
