This thread may be worth a read, it would seem all is not happy with several owners.

I would check out the Golf. It's very well built inside and holds its value better than any other car in its class. Very comfy and roomy inside, great in town and on motorways and the blue motion engine is very efficient.

I reckon you could get one easily for £15,000. For a year, maybe a year and a half old (between 11-12 reg). Not sure where you are, but have a look at Car giant. Almost 5,000 cars on site.

Same pathetic customer service though whatever model.

Any company that big who will not admit to a widespread problem and rectify it for free under warranty, is best avoided by any sensible motorist.

Yes I would normally agree, but my experience when I had a problem with my I30, went to turners in Bury st Edmunds and it was sorted under warranty very quickly and with great customer service

Thanks for this, will have a scan through Car Giant. I have been looking at Motorpoint as well which is not too far from me.

I read Autoexpress every week, and they have commented on how many letters they have received about the Kia 7 year warranty and how they keep trying to wriggle out of claims.

The reason I've mentioned this is because Kia and Hyundai are the same company.
  • Thanks for your all responses. Think I might go back to the drawing board and look at the Vauxhall Astras

Horrible cars to drive compared to both the i30 and the ceed, although I can only compare the previous shape Astra not the current model.

vauxhall dealers have not been great over the years either

Also very unreliable! 91st out of 100 in customer satisfaction survey.
