Wire was not plug, it was some copper wire sticking out through charger cable cover 5'' from plug in, which I plugged in. . Argos manager looked at it and said QC wasn't met. As for the dog chewing, NO it didn't teeth been filed down and he was laying under table. The copper wiring ws freakily sticking through but was crackling sound. Manager said cable inside damaged also so paperwork filled out and Asus contact to.
I made a mistake in how I worded my first post. Lessoned learned all round. Upgraded netbook and remember to be very basic to the point on here.

I can' t believe 4 people thanked post #4, or that it was even posted in the first place. Just nasty.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

Argos have exchanged wife returned from original store all good.

Dog has no teeth as 16yo and sitting in wrong place at that time. But she is very alert.

Thanks for replying for those without smart remarks. Lesson learned. Agree cheap covering and emailed ASUS who have acknowledged.

I too had a problem with Argos!
A mobile phone that kept cutting off was faulty. Manager insisted that the Phone was not covered by the 28 day Returns Policy even though it was faulty.
I rang Head Office and complained.
They rang the Store and I was given a full refund.
