    I'm so pleased it's the weekend :j :j

This week has been so slow and so long! It's also annoying that lots of my teacher friends finish today but we've still got 3 days to go. Still, can't complain really - then got 5 weeks off.

In MSE news, I've OP'd £50 to the mortgage today as our usual Friday update. I've managed to have a whole week of NSDs which was my aim, which I'm pretty pleased about :) I've posted a blog post about how to stick with your budget if anyone fancies a read.

    10 days til our holidays :j :j

Can you please point me in the right direction of your blog. I would live to read it xx

Ooh thanks - we sound like we've got similar aims :)

If you look on my profile on here there should be a link, or google 'the frugal cottage' and it should be there :)

Sorry - it's going to be in the post on Tuesday, as I'm doing a post on my own personal budget and how it works. Hope this is okay!

For the first time ever, I experienced the Next sale today. And I don't want to experience it ever again! I only went in to see if I could get any holiday clothes and it was MAD. People everywhere, clothes everywhere. I did get some leggings for £5 but quickly left. It was mental.

I also treated myself to a coffee and panini for lunch in town to shelter from the rain :) I sat in the window so I could watch people walk by - I like to watch the world go by whilst I'm having a bit of "me" time.

Also been food shopping today as the fridge only had 2 yogurts, some jam and mustard in it :o poor DH had to have a banana sandwich for his lunch as I hadn't got back by the time he got back from work! But, spent £44 and we're well stocked up now. Got some more things for the freezer for when we get back from our holidays and probably won't want to cook much :)

Ooh, and it's single figures til we go on holiday! :j :j 9 DAYS! :D

    Happy weekend everyone :)

Had a lovely lazy Sunday so far today - spent some time watching the athletics on the tv, done a bit of gardening, am about to go and play the piano for a bit, and then relax some more :)

It's going to be a NSD for me today; not ventured anywhere apart from the garden. We're going to DH's parents for tea so what was planned for tonight will be tomorrow night's tea (salmon ceaser salad) so we've got a bonus meal for the freezer :) They only rang earlier and asked so it'll be a lovely evening too.

I've just finished writing my longest ever blog post about how we do our own budget and what is allocated to what. I've also included two budget templates for people to use, and that post will be up on Tuesday if anyone wants to take a look :) it's taken the best part of 3 hours to write so I hope it's useful to someone :o

    Happy Sunday everyone :)
