Carrying on the food theme of the weekend, I've had another good food day today
I made a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings, followed by an HM apple crumble and custard. I love weekends
Another NSD for me today which means I've exceeded June's target, which is good :j :j all our savings at the moment will go as spending money for Canada/America, so every single penny extra is a bonus
Going to watch the hobbit now with a cuppa and have a relaxing evening with DHBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Had a lovely tea tonight with chicken risotto, made with leftover roast chicken and hm chicken stock - it really was nice and very easy to do. Plus all made from leftovers from yesterday! I've also got a portion for lunch tomorrow, so definitely a bargain chicken there.
I can't believe it's the end of June already! Tomorrow, I can say "I'm going on holiday this month" which I'm excited aboutI'm very much looking forward to the break and doing some traveling with DH - I'm so pleased he got the time off work and we get to do something lovely together.
I've written quite a long blog post wrapping up the month of June, if anyone wants to peak at that. Our finances this month have been great - due to not spending as much - and I'm hoping to repeat the performance in July. Hi SF,
Just a quick post as I'm completely swamped with reports and other carp that we have to hand in next week (why ask for other stuff to be done during report writing season? I'd happily do it next week!). I agree with everything you said above - including OH's time off as we had issues () in this area. When are you off? :j:j:j

We go on the 26th! So only 23 sleeps :j:j:j I'm just avoiding report writing and having a cuppa. I've hardly had time to come on here over the last week but I'm looking forward to having a good catch up"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. I'm so so so glad it's the weekend. This week has been mentally busy and has also gone incredibly slowly, so phew, made it to the end!
We've been out for an Indian tonight with a voucher paid for by a friend, which was lovelyit was so nice not to have to cook tea. However, I'm really full now and I'm tired, but too full to sleep
but, worth it
I've written a blog post about living the simple life, if anyone wants to take a look. This week I've really appreciated the little things, like DH making tea and tidying the house, having some cuddles on the sofa with the cats after a long day, and supping some squash sat in the garden in the sunshine. It doesn't take much
Happy weekend everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
