Belated happy birthday SF, I hope you enjoyed yourself :)

The dinner sounded delicious, I am thinking about NYC or Chicago for Mrs E's 30th next year, get us some good junk food.

I've been doing the sums and budget for 2014 - I'm really looking forward to next year :D and I need to make sure that the sums do add up! On paper they do, in a really positive way, but as we all know, little spends here and there start to add up.

I've got some more planning to do in terms of what we absolutely have to budget for, and what is a maybe/maybe not. I also want to make sure we have some entertainment budget/room in there, so that we have fun at the same time!

In other news, I still haven't finished Christmas shopping :o it's really crept up on me this year and I have no inspiration for certain members of my family. Still, best get it sorted! Hmm.

Nothing else to report; we're off to the in-laws for tea so I'm sure it'll be very tasty :)

Also, it's nearly the weekend :j

    Enjoy your tea! :)

Our budgets are looking a little healthier for next year, as well, it will be our second year in the flat and certain things look like overkill on the 2013 sheet...

Oh my gosh, today has been expensive! Me and DH have been christmas shopping - I only have 1 more present to buy but I need to consult someone else first, and then we're done :) :j

We're supposed to be putting the decorations up today, but I can't be bothered :o it's such a faff :o but we will, either today or tomorrow. Not sure what the cats are going to make of the christmas tree....

We're going out tonight for a meal - it's a christmas menu one at a local hotel which is very nice, and quite posh, so it'll be a lovely treat :) quite expensive, but I'm very much looking forward to it :D

I should be writing my christmas cards right now... :o

  • Ours have been swatting baubles across the lounge with great excitement. Although when they were kittens they used to race up and down the middle. I now have very few none breakable decorations.
