SF's road to mortgage freedom!

Ah, Sunday
had a lie in this morning, which was nice
until the kittens were chasing each other round the room, which was rather noisy! They're mental
in a good way though, it's so funny.
Not doing much again today - DH has gone out for the day with a friend, and I've got one of my friends visiting later, so that'll be nice. A cuppa and a catch up is always good! I'd usually bake something so we could have a nibble, but I've given up cake for Lent, so I haven't. I really need to get some weight off - I tend to eat when I'm stressed so this term hasn't been great for my weight
I'm making shepherds pie later topped with sweet potato mash - something nice and easy and tastyserved with peas and gravy. No pudding though
I do have some pineapple and kiwi fruit though, so there's something fresh available.

That was a great point about the interest rates and overpaying as my mortgage is only 0.99% interest so my money is best kept in savings or even my current account as it pays 3% interest.
You're doing the right thing with yours being over that.
Dinner sounds good and totally agree it's always nice having friends around.0 -
So, I've had a productive day! I've been to the gym and for a swim this morning, which made me feel good
then this afternoon I've done lots of sorting and shredding, which I've been putting off. So, good day!
DH has done the first coat of painting in the lounge, and the colour is lovely, so that's goodhe's going to do the second coat tomorrow and then we'll see how it looks - I'm already planning accessories and stuff, best not get too carried away
I'm going to make homemade pizzas for tea - I have been to the gym after all- and we're going to have a relaxing evening, probably watch a film and chill

So, the lounge is finished! I want to get a couple more things for it - hopefully a nice bookcase, a few accessories to add some colour, but very pleased with it
I shall write a blog post about it at the weekend I think, and post pictures
Had a nice day today - had the in-laws round for tea and made a healthy prawn curry which went down a treatI'm always happy when people like my food!

My car is currently at the garage, as it's the dreaded MOT/service time...! Just hoping it's not going to cost too much - should hear any time now.
I've been to get my hair cut this morning - finally! - and it looks so much better. £35, but to be honest, I only get it cut about three times a year, so I figure it's not too much really. Got a lovely head massage whilst the lady was washing my hair, added bonus! I also treated myself to a chai latte from $tarbucks, so I did feel like I was having a very nice morning. Little things and all that.
I'm now trying to work through my markinggot about 400 books to do, done about 90 so far, so plodding through. Not particularly exciting, but a necessity of the job, so I shall continue. Slurping a cuppa and having some music on is helping
I get paid on Monday so will look at MFW/EF things then. Hoping to add quite a bit to the EF, but we shall seedepends on how much my car costs!
