September 17th, 2016.
Well, after the excitement last weekend, I have been feeling out of sorts for the past few days and have been napping when I've managed to get some quiet. I still feel pretty ropey but plodding along today. Not got anything planned tomorrow, so having a nice quiet day with family.
DS took his first steps this evening! It made me feel a bit tearful, as he's growing and changing day by day. He was so proud of himself, it was really cutealthough I do know now that nowhere is safe :rotfl:
As part of my prize last weekend, I have a voucher to use for m&s so I'm going to go to their food hall tomorrow and treat us to some lovely food with itis it sad that I'm quite looking forward to it? I have always said that you know you've made it when you can justify buying your food from marksies every week! Perhaps that should be one of my aims
it'll be interesting to see if it'll be any more expensive; I'm just going to go armed with my shopping list like normal.
I also need to treat myself to a new pair of jeans as my favourite pair have finally fallen apartgutted really as they'd just got to the really comfy stage :rotfl: so I'll have to look at some tomorrow as well, since I'll be spending.
Happy Saturday, everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've been quite out of sorts the past week; I'd even go so far as to say I have been feeling quite down about things and have wanted to hide away so to speaknot enjoying leaving DS to go to work either, so thankful I'm only needing to do that three days a week.
I have launched a new project on my blog which is focusing on giving something back to my local community. It's going okay so far, it's got another 7 weeks to run before the funding bit finishes.
I'm not looking forward to it being Monday tomorrow
Posting will probably be a bit sporadic until I get myself out of whatever this is.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Not sure what to say really other than be kind to yourself & enjoy the time that you do have with your DS.
Any chance that you could drop another 1 day or even 1/2 a day if that was practical?

Sorry to hear you're down, SF - I'm sure that wanting to be with your little one and not being able to is enough to bring you down, so like beanie and Cath say, be kind to yourself, and make the most of what time you do have with DS.

I can't seem to shake off this "feeling a bit rubbish" thing at the moment. I just can't seem to muster the energy to do much, my eating has been awful due to comfort eating and my to do list is getting longer as I can't bring myself to do anything on it.
I can't even blame it on the weather/season change as Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons! I love the colder months, the darker evenings, being all cosy inside.
That being said, I am trying to plod along and keep focusing on little things each day. Things at work are quite complicated at the moment and am feeling the pressure somewhat, which probably isn't helping my general overall mood, but, for the most part, it is all out of my control. Trying to focus on the things I can do something about, and hopefully the other stuff will be sorted out, sooner rather than later.
DS is now walking fairly confidently. He hasn't been walking outside at all yet, but he can zoom around the living room with ease. I think I will need to get him some better shoes to walk outside with, as the ones he currently have are for "cruising" so another trip to be measured is on the cards. He got one of those little bags with reins attached as a birthday present and I think that's going to be very handy soon!
Finances are looking good at the moment, which is good. I haven't transferred anything into savings as of yet this month. We have decided that we are going to pay a family member (who is a decorator) to help us to decorate the hall and staircase. It was all very well and good saying we'd do it all ourselves but as the wallpaper seems to be stuck on with superglue and we can't use a steamer or anything to help getting it off due to the dodgy plasterboard underneath (learned that the hard way) we just haven't found the time to get it all done. With some help and expertise, I think that this could be done within two weeks and it will look so much better. Living with this is beginning to stress me also, which again isn't helping with my mood, so I can't wait to get it all finished.
