I just logged onto my topcashback account, which I don't use very often as we don't buy things online, to find that a pending payment has finally cleared to payable! The date I made the transaction? September 2011 :rotfl:

So that's £1.49 duly requested, as every little helps, right? :D

    Wow - that's some delay!! x

Yup - I'd given up any hope of it ever becoming mine! :)

I have been looking for a way of giving them the tip 'don't eat yellow snow', but it is not an option on the website :D :rotfl:

So, another weekend is almost over, and the thought of another week to plod through doesn't particularly fill me with joy...

Had a lovely day today; we've had a wander in town today and I bought the first little outfit for bump :) which is very cute. I fear that now I have bought the first one, that a flood gate has opened and I'll go mad :o I doubt it, but there are some very cute things out there to buy.

It's been a spend day today, as I've done our grocery shopping. Had a very easy tea of chicken in a pesto sauce, followed by HM banana and peanut butter loaf with ice cream, which was very good D: bit of an experiment with adding the peanut butter, but definitely going to that again :)

Well, here's to another week :)

Gosh, I'm in such a grump today :o

My all day/night sickness is back :(:(:( it really does make me feel rubbish; feeling like you're going to be sick 24/7 is really not a nice feeling at all. Work today has been especially hard; I woke up at about 4am and couldn't get back to sleep, so lack of sleep combined with sickness has meant that Monday has been hard.

It's been a NSD though, which is always a good thing.

I've got some jacket potatoes in the oven as we speak (type?), going to do beans with mine and got some sausages out of the freezer to do for DH as well as beans. I just want lots of comfort food at the moment; it's the only thing I can seem to force myself to eat.

Meh, when is it half term? :o

One more day until the weekend :j

I have sat and done a savings forecast today, with a somewhat wishful amount saved each month until the end of 2018. However, with the inevitable dip in income later on this year, the chances of us being on track in this year, never mind 3 years down the line, look to be pretty slim. However, it is massively motivating, so I'm going to try my hardest to achieve it. I've added it to my sig now as well, more motivation! All in the name of FI and early retirement! :D

So, on the same theme, I've transferred £9 into savings today :o which is better than nothing, but if I want to actually achieve this, I need to come up with a better plan. I might have a hunt around this weekend and put some things on ebay - haven't done that in a loooong time.

I've had porridge and a banana for tea tonight, as it's all I could face. Made DH what we were supposed to have for tea, though he ended up with a pretty big portion. Another NSD in our household :)

    Happy Thursday everyone.

    £9 is great!

Loving the name of your fund :)
  • Yours is the first sig I've seen that's daring enough to include an FI magic number SF :)

Is that a cashmoney target, or net worth target? Since you're currently reporting zero I guess it must be cash savings? What is the target for end 2018? Surely not the full 330k!

My baseline FI net worth target is 300k (non mortgage and childcare expenses of 1k pm), maybe that needs to find its way into my signature. I don't really have a date in mind yet, just thinking the sooner the better :)
  • Sorry you're feeling rough. I was the same for the last two weeks with DS - it's not pleasant.

    Take care and rest up.

    Best wishes Tilly

I do not put mine in my sig for the single negative reason that some of the posters on the MB board are (how do I put this politely?).... tools :p

More than one conversation where they argued the merits of my savings challenge sig despite knowing nothing about it!
