I had forgotten it's a bank holiday weekend, though the weather hasn't been nice here either, we've nothing planned for tomorrow and I'm not very well so I suppose it's typical of one really.

You're not a boring person, slowlyfading and I've no doubt that your careful planning will work out well for you in the end. :)

    Fixed that for you :)
    Thanks :o
It really is a typical, soggy bank holiday. I have been keeping busy and have built our last piece of baby furniture, a lovely crib that secures to the side of our bed so that we can do the whole co-sleeping thing. I got a bit of a thrill as I practised seeing how close the baby will be to us with a stuffed toy :D
Aww :) one of my main aims this month is to get the carpet sorted in the nursery (!) and then I can get the cot put up :) we've got a moses basket for our bedroom :)
    Not long now.
Not at all! Are you beginning to get nervous? I'm excited and scared in equal measure I think :o

Oh dear - I hope you feel better soon.

I feel very boring at times, but then I suppose boring = straightfoward and nothing too out of the ordinary happening which is a good thing :)

Thanks, I suppose I'll live to see another day. ;)

I'm sure you do all sorts of things that are not boring. :) Being a teacher is not boring, something surprising everyday and there are some of us that wish we could have your job. ;)

Something I have learnt from this site is that you don't need to spend much money to have fun. I try to entertain my son as cheaply as possible and because he likes spending so much time outdoors and finding out about wildlife and nature, he has a great time.

That's true - a life of a teacher when at work is not boring at all, quite the opposite! And yes, spending money doesn't equal more happiness. I just wonder whether we should be worrying about what we're not doing, if that makes sense? We're quite happy plodding along most of the time, but I wonder if our lives, when looked at by others, seem very dull.

What do you feel you're not doing? And is money necessary for you do whatever it is that you're not doing? If so, some of those savings could go towards the things you are not doing. If money isn't required, get out there and do whatever it is you would like to do. :)

A lot of parents / parents to be seem to think their lives stop the moment baby arrives, I'm not saying you are one of these but it is very easy to think a child requires every minute of your time and every £ in your wallet.

I don't even know! Well, actually, there is one thing. I want to go on holiday! I'd love to go away somewhere hot and lounge on a beach for a week, just to escape. But, I know that at the moment, we do not have that luxury nor the time to do that before the baby comes.

You've hit the nail on the head there :o I worry that I'm not going to be a good enough parent, that we don't have enough money or time - which is stupid! Everybody must go through this though, right?

Having a child does not mean my life is over as I know it. It just means that it changes, but definitely for the better :)

Having a bit of a life wobble at the moment, it would seem :o
