  • Haven't been on since this morning and have actually enjoyed spending the last hour reading through every post since i was last here.

I did the phase of anti capitalist BS but was like when I was 15 or something, realized that I didn't have to live in a capital state if I didn't want to and one of the benefits of our society is that they do not try and make you stay here, just that you follow the rules set by the majority (not always perfect or what I believe but I accept it).

Small rant over. Somehow made it to 197/110 no idea how as it took me most the day to get a DS and no TS in sight.

  • if they're so anti-capitilist why are talking about having a credit card? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/59225613#Comment_59225613
"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,
    Telling me about the sea..."
  • can you sell out if you were never really in?...

You can donate your swagbucks to charities here (Need at least 5 swagbucks)
    http://www.swagbucks.com/p/category/500/Charity
    - currently Charity:Water, Unicef, Smiletrain, Gavi Alliance, British Red Cross and charity choice ecards (might be US/Us charities only) + they usually chose a bonus charity each month and put the info & donation link on their blog. http://blog.swagbucks.com/tag/donate

    That's true

Thanks, 200 donated to clean water, thought it was appropriate as one survey was talking about Coca KKKola and other popular brands of sugar water.

To exploit the system to get what I should be entitled to by natural law - a place to live

Web 2.0 could have been fantastic as a platform for information and creation; unfortunately, as you say, facebook etc has ruined it. I lovingly remember the early days of the net before all the banner ads and spam - it was an amazing repository of free information and !!!!!!. Today, too much of the information is filtered through governments and media. The platform isn't the problem (web 1.0/2.0), the problem is the invasion of business into situation to try to control and sell what should be free.

I'm intrigued by your stance on protests. Peaceful protests make you look soft so you need to take "proper action". Define proper action. Peaceful protests may make you look soft to some, but at least they raise awareness. In my past I served in Belfast and the Middle East, and later spent a lot of time in the US - the "proper action" that I have seen included my barracks being pipe bombed, mates being killed by IED's, being put in the position of having to shoot a child that had been snatched, drugged, strapped with explosives, and sent to a check-point, having the living !!!! kicked out of me for being an athiest, and visiting a friend in hospital after she was beaten up for enquiring about an abortion. "Proper action" tends to be defended by those who sink to that level - Hitler believed the erradication of a whole race was "proper action". So how do you define it?

I don't think anybody here refuses to acknowledge that the economic system is fundamentally wrong - I believe every single person that posts in this thread can give examples from personal experience where the "system" has failed them.

And Malcolm X? Really going there?

i didn't want to leave this unacknowledged.... seriously. it must have been hellish.

  • Nope, every day you start back at zero, with a new target set by Swagbucks. Of course, all the points you accumulate each day count towards whatever reward you're saving for. :)

Ohhhh thank you sir/madam, saved me some time
