This Swagbucks deal looks like a nice one to have on the side while filling in other surveys. First day on it, I can smash the daily target, I'm guessing anything extra gets passed over to the next day.

Nope, every day you start back at zero, with a new target set by Swagbucks. Of course, all the points you accumulate each day count towards whatever reward you're saving for. :)

Not if we can use technology to our advantage, I'm more than happy to give it up after the revolution. One good thing about a revolution would be that I wouldn't have to hear the words *cringe* "facebook", "twitter" and "apple" again.

I'm happy to say that I don't use commercial software on my PC, I've no need for it and, since for now I need to use a computer, because of the system that I'm forced to live under, that's as ethical as I can make it.

Two potatoes? But potatoes have feelings too! :(

    What are mankinis?

    a proper anarchist would know....

Web 2.0 could have been fantastic as a platform for information and creation; unfortunately, as you say, facebook etc has ruined it. I lovingly remember the early days of the net before all the banner ads and spam - it was an amazing repository of free information and !!!!!!. Today, too much of the information is filtered through governments and media. The platform isn't the problem (web 1.0/2.0), the problem is the invasion of business into situation to try to control and sell what should be free.

I'm intrigued by your stance on protests. Peaceful protests make you look soft so you need to take "proper action". Define proper action. Peaceful protests may make you look soft to some, but at least they raise awareness. In my past I served in Belfast and the Middle East, and later spent a lot of time in the US - the "proper action" that I have seen included my barracks being pipe bombed, mates being killed by IED's, being put in the position of having to shoot a child that had been snatched, drugged, strapped with explosives, and sent to a check-point, having the living !!!! kicked out of me for being an athiest, and visiting a friend in hospital after she was beaten up for enquiring about an abortion. "Proper action" tends to be defended by those who sink to that level - Hitler believed the erradication of a whole race was "proper action". So how do you define it?

I don't think anybody here refuses to acknowledge that the economic system is fundamentally wrong - I believe every single person that posts in this thread can give examples from personal experience where the "system" has failed them.

And Malcolm X? Really going there?

You can donate your swagbucks to charities here (Need at least 5 swagbucks)
    http://www.swagbucks.com/p/category/500/Charity
    - currently Charity:Water, Unicef, Smiletrain, Gavi Alliance, British Red Cross and charity choice ecards (might be US/Us charities only) + they usually chose a bonus charity each month and put the info & donation link on their blog. http://blog.swagbucks.com/tag/donate

Well, I have very few ads but I know waht the "raw" internet looks like with all the ads, also social networking sites blocked with browser plugins to even eliminate the buttons and logos that link to them. Can't avoid hearing it all the time in conversation though.

Well, I'd rather not talk about politics on that level but you're along the right lines with your experience while employed as a professional, government-approved terrorist.

If they acknowledge it, they won't do anything about it? Why? Scared? If everyone sits back and does nothing, then it will always be this way, everyone will get walked over constantly. The people in power are nothing, if everyone stands up to them we can get rid of them.

Yes, I am going there, it's a very good example. Just remember, house negros are still slaves and will receive no reward for what they do. Since someone mentioned punk, a perfect line for the situation would be "You'll be the first to go unless you THINK"
