I am determined that this time next year I will be able to sit down at this time in the eve knowing up to date with everything with a brew in a tidy room.

... but tonight we all did fifteen mins of tidying. I am determined to finish off a box in my room.
Well done - little and often really will make that differnce in a year:T

Molly - well done too - quite a few of us on here know 1st hand how ill health can impact on dealing with stuff and finding that extra bit of energy can be tough and conversly be extra frustrating when the heart is willing but the body just not u to it.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hello all.
A very belated Happy Birthday to Jojo apologies taht I missed that yesterday - not paying attention!

Hugs to suzitiger don't feel bad about feeling bad as the you'll be doubly down - if that makes sense?? Take care of yourself x

Had a bit of a LBM today. I have been slowly clearing my wine bottle collection (empty I hasten to add, another fantasy HM wine brewer self:o) have taken about 2 dozen (yes honestly!!) to the recycling a few at a time when I walk the dog and I now have quite a bit of SPACE in my cupboard. Now this is a revelation - I never have space in my cupboards and so this means my worktops and the floor become home for the stuff that won't fit. It has now dawned on me that if my cupboards are not full of fantasy stuff I might actually have room to put away the stuff I actually use. I realise now that this is how 'normal' people manage to not have 'stuff' all over their kitchen and the 'solution' to my 'stuff' problem is not to build a pantry;)

Getting to the end of my bedroom decluttering. Have cleared out my cards and gift wrap/bits of ribbon and tags box. Most of it gone now - scraps of gift paper that might be useful for those very small gifts you know???...:o Kept just a few Christmas cards and a couple of sheets of gift wrap, no bows or ribbon as I never actually use them (fantasy super gift wrap person:o). I seem to have a lot of fantasy selves, lol:o

I have a ribbon tool thing that shreds the ribbon into lovely curly bits. I did declutter the CD that showed you how to use it. I can never follow instructions.

I used to do lovely curly ribbon and bow gift wrap but really can't be bothered these days. People are lucky to get a present at all! I think when I was younger I had this picture book image of the perfect housewife/mum and really wanted to be her.... I think I've grown out of her now:p
I am good enough and that's good enough - that's what I keep telling myself:)

    Hi Everyone,
I have tried to be realistic about what I can achieve. I am back at work now and have less time to sort my stuff out! I did my jewellery at the weekend. Everything was muddled and lost and untidy, I have now sorted it all and it is much easier to sort and find things. I am going to do a drawer a day! It does not sound much but it is all I can manage at the moment. Also if I can maintain the areas I have sorted out and keep them tidy,,, then I am really winning!!!
I have sold five items on Amazon and had three no spend days in a row!! More is going out of the house than coming in!!
Also wednesday is my day off so I am going to go to the dump and charity shops!!!

Erm - doesn't the edge of a pair of scissors and your thumb do just as good a job (mainly because you don't need instructions on how to do it)?

I want to see piccies of the new essential addition to the wood burner!

I have 5 little cloud mountain minnows that joined the family yesterday.

    They have names.

    Sheldon.
    Leonard.
    Howard.
    Penny.
    Raj.

And I cashed in some survey points for Amazon vouchers last night, as my T shirts were down to just a couple of too short ones, which are now in the rag recycling outside.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

No, because it's a "gadget" (essential device for hoarders) and therefore timesaving, will last forever and does the job perfectly. If you don't include the time you spend looking for it.

Love the "cloud mountain minnows". Photos? I've never heard of them but what a great name.

What a lovely present to yourself JoJo - I'd never heard of these fish, but they look so easy to care for. Good for you for treating yourself to T shirts.

Wannabe Sybil, walking on snow frightens me too. I have special rubber grippers that pull on over my shoes which are very good, and an snow/ice grip on my walking stick. I live opposite a lovely park, so the snow makes everything there look very pretty but hmm.

Today's decluttering was the cold cupboard in which I keep the veg.

There were lots of root veggies that were left over from Christmas - they didn't go in the bin, but made a huge and splendid stew. Ideal for the snowy weather.

Cupboard contents were 1 swede, carrots, red onions, white onions, 3 parsnips and potatoes from four separate bags (three or four in each, not quite enough for a meal for two so they were left). Add leeks, OOD bacon from freezer and leftover turkey and voila!
(I've boasted about this stew on three separate threads now. :o Stew is a regular, but this one was my thriftiest ever)
