I am still using the Mason Cash bowl I inherited from my granny, I love it but I do find it a bit little now I am baking more for a family so I think I will have to buy an additional one that is a bit bigger.0

There's something about those mason cash bowls. I've got a huge one with a crack across the bottom, I never use but can't bear to be parted from cos it cost alot!
Seriously tho, I've mixed large quantities in my preserving pan before now.
If you've got a shop called "The Range" near you they have a good range of bowls of all sorts including mason cash lookalikes!! If it's any help to yorkshire-ites there's one where the old Asda was at York.....0 -

Gingham, don't be daft!It was just me being clumsy. How could you possibly be responsible for that??
Besides it's only cracked so may still be ok to use?? Does anyone know? I haven't been able to bring myself to throw it out yet.

I think the only problem with cracked crockery is not being able to clean in the cracks properly. Maybe there's a way of sealing it somehow?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Yes that's sort of what I thought.....not sure if I could clean it properly. I'll see if Mr Pink has any ideas.

For crockery cracks I know someone who used this on a huge mixing bowl, she said was great (but did stick herself to it at one point by accident) http://www.starkiesharp.com/ultrabond_page21.html would have replied sooner but was waiting for an email back as to where she got it. I think was a Mason Cash bowl she used it on.
I use a glass one at the mo, it is a little small to be honest, looking for a bigger oneOne day I might be more organised...........

I have a small Mason Cash bowl, a metal mixing bowl (great for melting chocolate in) a set of 5 Nigella bowls which fit into each other (gorgeous and a wedding present) and a big lime green salad bowl i use for large quantities. I think thats enough ROTFL0
