  • Paid an extra £15 this week. So tempted to make it a little more so I pass the '£500 paid off this year' mark!! I've said it before but I'll say it again, it's amazing how all the little extra payments add up!

  • Hi everyone

Ive had a good read of this thread and its so inspiring. I guess I'm too late to join this time but does anyone know when the thread for the next challenge will be posted?

My plans to make an extra payment a week are:
I will be taking out £100 cash per week that has to last me the whole week - this will include petrol, social events, food shopping for 3 of us and any treats. I do have an overall budget for each of these which I hope to stick to. Any change I have from the £100 at the end of each week will be paid off a debt most probably my OD. If I max the budget of £100 then I will pay £5 out of my next week's £100 - might teach me to make the £100 last so I am not suffering the consequences the following week!
    GC- June £0/£150

    OD
    £0/£1500 OD £6.23/£900
    Debt paid-£6.23/£2400

    Great idea there Beth!

As it's payday I've overpaid £80 this week. Lost count of how much I've overpaid this year, really need to keep a tally, but the fact that I've overpaid and the debt keeps going down is enough!

  • Hi Beth, hopefully the new thread will be done just before New Year. It's Betty Crumble's baby so she should do it, but if not I'm sure one of us can step in.

    Fab overpayment SA!

£10 for me this week Xx

I'm coming back here now I'm working towards paying off a long long term loan.

My extra payment a week will go into my savings account for this.

This challenge helped me stay on track when I was paying off the credit cards.

  • £20 for me this week. My sister asked me to get something for her and instead of giving me the money back, I told her to knock it off what I owe her.
