So its actually what a "trend" is that you're struggling to grasp?

What is it with you and straw man arguments.

Well clearly you're either ignoring the "trend" of upward price movement over the last 3 quarters, so i'm starting to wonder if its actually the notion of what a trend is thats confusing you?

Are you interested in a semi or a detached? I'm just trying to work out how much not buying has cost you?

    Lets work it out.

    I nearly bought a site in 2009 for 150K.

The same sites can be had for 35K.

How much has it cost me?

No, no, we're talking about your situation now.

Correct me if i'm wrong, you've been renting waiting for the market to bottom out, which you've now missed?

Apologies, i forgot you were still saving for a deposit, as you said earlier in the thread.

I'm saving a deposit, looking around 30-40%. Can't see the falls stopping for at least 3 years.

I hope it all works out for you and you get the money saved before prices rise too much.

No comments for Tara747 or further comments from saverbuyer?

I would have thought you see yourselves as "objective" you'd have been as keen to discuss the price rises as avidly as you were to discuss the price falls?

    No?
  • Interesting feature on rte last night about the house price mini boom of South Dublin. It seems it's all based on savings with very little mortgage involvement. It's not expected to last long, the banking system still being dead.

    House sales on the increase

"House sales in Northern Ireland increased by more than 20% between the second and third quarters of this year, the University of Ulster (UU) has said."

    'Bout time, too.
