Hi! Still lurking away... just popping in to say I got my broadband for my new place through Plusnet.

I pay £17 a month for phone and broadband - paid more than that just for the phone at my old place. No set up fee. I was so glad to leave BT, customer service was dreadful and it was so expensive.

There's normally deals going via Quidco too (took ages in my case for some reason, had to raise a claim but it did come through eventually).

    Hi

    Great to 'see' you!

Thanks for this, my problem is that I don't have a phone line so need to get on installed first! If you don't go with BT for Broadband it's £130!

How are things going in your 'new life'?

Lovely dinner and catch up with friends last night - only half day at work then off to see Lion King tonight :)

Dieting has gone out of the window this week, and going for pizza tonight too. Am going to go for a run this afternoon before I go out as a slight compensation!

    Lion King was amazing! :j:j

Went for a run yesterday afternoon and controlled myself in Pizza Express (with a voucher of course) - no dessert! My social life is picking up after a very quiet January so that's my challenge. Keeping on track with my weightloss, making sure I fit in plenty of exercise so I can enjoy eating out and socialising, along the lines of the Manhattan Diet princples.

I don't feel I am making much progress with my running so I want to do some research into other training programmes. I have a quieter week next week so I want to concentrate on some training

Also need to keep an track of finances! Have ordered some vouchers for my friends birthday from my work incentive scheme. Have £36 sat in my Amazon account (my last Nectar voucher arrived this morning)

Day off tomorrow to get my car MOT'd - fingers crossed she passes! I have enough money in my car account for service and MOT as long as they don't find anything major!

I have also been thinking about holidays! :) I need to look at finances (as ever) and then would like to book something - I need some sunshine, and something to look forward to!

My friend has booked her wedding for the end of the year so another event to look forward to - and a diet incentive! ;)

    Dinner with TM tonight! :D

Phew - car passed her MOT so my car fund covered that and the service, with a little left over towards tax at the end of the month. Have just ordered some new mats from Argos but these are covered by Nectar points, need to go for a valet too!

Lovely day out on Saturday with the girlies - wedding show, fab lunch and then shopping and cocktails :D Didn't buy anything as we were focussing on our 'bride to be'!

No weightloss last week but I managed to stay the same which I'm happy with as I was out to eat 4 times! This week is much quieter which is a good thing as, obvioulsy, finances are now rather tight!

This week I intend to focus on training, and am trying a different running programme as I don't feel I'm making progress with my current plan. Got an early start this morning, have done my slendertone and off to the gym tonight. Also planning a bit of pampering - face pack, body oils etc

I have a party on Saturday but present is covered by vouchers I ordered from my work incentive scheme, and I've also covered another birthday this week with vouchers.

Have just ordered £100 of vouchers to treat myself :) I think I will go for Mango as they have some lovely stuff in at the moment

    Hi Shoegirl

To improve your running, you might consider joining a ParkRun event, which is a timed 5k but caters for everyone from those who walk much of the course up to those who do the course in about 17 minutes (gulp). http://www.parkrun.org.uk/events/events/
The Parkruns are free, and take place all over the country. I don't know which part of Manchester you are in, but there are courses at Wythenshawe, South Manchester (Platt Fields) and others. I've improved by 10 minutes and still feel very slow, but have vowed to do 30 runs this year to raise money for World Vision, a charity I'm passionate about.

    Hope that helps.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Crossed a few things off my 'to do' list yesterday, ate well and went to the gym to run :)

Woken up with a sore neck this morning so coffee and pain killers so far today! ;)

Just checked my Nectar balance and I have enough points to order my Elle subscription so I'm off to do that now! Happy 'hump day' to me! :D

Missed the gym last night due to weather/traffic/wanting to watch the footie and my neck hurting! Determined to go tonight though

Nothing else much going on, ordered my Elle subcription yesterday and have a colleague's birthday lunch today - must order sensibly! :)

Hello Friday :). Went to the gym last night even though my neck is still hurting a bit, and I've lost 2lbs this week :j. Planning to go to the gym again tonight then I am having my hair done in the morning and have a few things on my list to finish before going to a party :D

Got my hair cut on Saturday then was at a party in the afternoon. Was given petrol money for driving so will pay that straight to petrol CC today before it gets spent! Good session at the gym yesterday, then watching the football in the afternoon. And drove my car with the roof down which makes me ridiculously happy! :p

Not much crossed off the list on the domestic front! :o

Need to order a birthday present for TM today using the last of my Amazon vouchers. Couple of surveys to do too - just past £40 on YouGov, need £50 for pay out but it's cash so can go straight to debt

Quiet(ish) week this week for social stuff so head down with dieting and exercise. I want to focus on my abs - so it's Slendertone and 10 minute abs DVD time, plus abs when I go to the gym - ouch! :p. This is whilst keeping up my running training too! I'm feeling a bit better with the running since changing my training plan so fingers crossed with that!
