It's been a strange week so far, still very busy at work and probably putting too many hours in! I'm leaving next Friday!
Went for dinner with some colleagues on Tuesday which was lovely, and a little emotional! I think Facebook will come into it's own, I think it's great for keeping up with what my ex colleagues will be doing
Weighed in a pound heavier this morning! Not surprising really with no exercise and far too many dinners out and chocolate treats! Really need to get back on the straight and narrow before I start my new job, and it's only just over 3 weeks to hols! :j

Facebook for the ex colleagues you like, LinkedIn for the ones that might be useful

Well, it's been an eventful few days! My last week at work remained frantically busy right until the end, including working until 9.30pm on my last day! However, I finished or handed over everything I had been asked to do so left with my head held high which was what I wanted to do
I was truly overwhelmed by all the cards, presents and good wishes I received! A Mulberry keyring! And loads of flowers, chocs and Jo Malone stuff from both colleagues and suppliers! And House of Fraser vouchers!
Had a fab time on my leaving do, again I was overwhelmed by the number of people who came. And I had several lunches too
The downside of all this has been damage to my bank balance and my waistline!
All the 'new era' stuff obviously got to me as I spent most of Saturday and Sunday having a major clear out and spring clean in my apartment! It's looking fab now, still need to sort the spare room but got loads done that had needed doing for ages
So now I am 2 days into my new job, and all seems good so far! Everybody seems really nice and friendly and 20 minutes each way travelling is a real bonus!
Back into dieting with avengence this week! 2 weeks to my hols and 4 weeks to my run! Gym and sunbed last night, and bought new pads for my Slendertone today (with Nectar points!)Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Good first week in my job, I think I've settled in really well so far. Only downside is letting my eating go haywire! I was 3lbs up in Friday!
A couple of sensible days including running yesterday and today has seen 2lbs come straight back off. Only a week until my hols so this week will be a Slim Fast blitz!
Second leg of CDWM last night which was lovely - so much more fun as a guest! Am going for a picnic with TM and his daughter tomorrow - fingers crossed for good weather! Half way through my holiday! It's been full of sunshine, sunbathing and cocktails!
. Not struggled being here on my own at all, another one ticked off the 'be brave' list! :j . Have been quite sensible with eating and have been running a couple of times too so I am hoping there is not too much damage when I get back. I've got a decent tan and treated myself to a bright yellow bikini this morning - and, if I say so myself, it looks pretty good!
.
Spent £36 in Primark before I came away but that netted two maxi dresses (which look great on!), a belt, a pair of sunglasses, a scarf and some white skinny jeans!. Also had my nails done and a gel pedicure. Don't think I've gone too bad whilst I've been away, and spends were budgeted for, but need to get back on track with finances when I get back as I will have the salary from my new job and should be able to see a saving in fuel costs from next month. Good news is I had £50 paid in from You Gov just before I came away and I am due a £30 refund from annoverpayment on one of my cards so that can all go to debt when I get back
The break has inspired me to really push on with my 'best version of me' agenda. My weight and fitness levels have plateaued and I am not monitoring my finances as well as I should!.
New job and fab holiday - good time to refocus methinks!
Before I came away my day out with TM was lovely and he's been in touch several times since - with a tentative plan to get together next week
And I've been having a bit of a text flirtation with an old friend whilst I've been away! Nothing in it but it's nice to be flatteredSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Fab night out last night and a lovely day shopping and mooching today. Treated myself to some lovely make up you can't get in the UK but no big spends. Looked for a dress for my friend's 30th in a couple of weeks but didn't love anything! Last day in the sun and it has been spent pretty lazily apart from a short run this morning. Time to tidy up and pack before one last cocktail then home tomorrow
Straight back to work on Monday - then my run next Sunday! :eek:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
