Another Christmas in Vegas, with my now 77 year old mother, coming up soon.
Usually see 2 shows - but this year struggling to find anything interesting. Done Cirque to death, seen Jersey Boys (great), Jubillee (awful), seen shows like Phantom and Mamma Mia come and go. Even did Absinthe (not recommended with one's mother!). Not even any Headliner concerts this christmas. (Fleetwood Mac are playing 30/12 which is the day we fly home sadly).
Variety of shows is definitely worse than ever = far too many Cirques not enough 'Broadway' type productions.
Any suggestions?
How about this one ? The Flamingo showroom is small and odds are you'll get moved forward to better seats from the free ones anyway.

Also found out today that one of the guys on my booking does not yet have his passport. I think I've asked every month for the last 4 for his passport info to input and today I finally asked if he actually had one and he said no.
I got him to phone the passport service who confirmed it HAD been dispatched so we're all hoping it turns up at his house tomorrow otherwise he's in a world of trouble...0 -
What about an esta ? We are going on Saturday and got ours tonight
Hope it all works out for him and your group!

Marsman, not to worry you, but are you all on the same booking? A couple of years ago we saw a group of lads turned back at the airport because one of them didn't have the right info/paperwork. It was with a USA based airline, but apparently because of the way it had been booked, they were all out of luck.0

That time to start thinking about the info on the front page again, for the 2014 thread. I'm happy to set it up again unless any else really wants to.
I'll give it a read through and update nearer the time... Anyone have any ideas to add to it, or update?0 -
Well that's got me a tad worried!!
My mate is waiting on tenterhooks for it to turn up today now.
Ok no he won't have an ESTA at this stage but should passport turn up today then that'll happen very quickly.
I'm going to try to check in at 10.30am on the website and see if it'll let me check in without my mate - if I encounter a problem I think I'm going to phone BA straight away to see the lay of the land.
In total 6 of us are going and we booked in 3 pairs so at least the other 4 won't be affected. If its just me I can handle that - would be really upset for the others if they got caught up.
Thanks for the heads up on potential issues!!! I am on it!!!0 -
Ok well it let me check in and I retrieved a boarding pass on my mobile through the BA App so that looks good.
Still no news on my mates passport, however...0 -
Oh the joys of a lad's holiday -there's always one.
Good luck getting it sorted out. If the passport was sent to be signed for -pop down to the sorting office and check it isn't sitting there as it couldn't be delivered and the postman had run out of or couldn't be bothered filling out...a red card.
There's no real reason why the rest of you couldn't board without him -maybe what Pebbles saw was a charter and the one with the wrong paperwork was the lead name or something like that ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Social Rewards and My Vegas section?
I concur, great idea! They're both very popular and good ways to get some freebies in Vegas.Currently saving and planning for the holiday of a lifetime to Vegas in summer 2014!
5 Nights @ Flamingo -> 1 Night @ Lake Mead -> 2 Nights @ The Grand Canyon -> 3 Nights @ The Mirage -> And Finally... 1 Night @ The Salone Fountain View Suite, Bellagio0
