Re Walmart. We use 5, 1 and 2 in that order. 3, on Tropicana is more expensive for some reason. I think it may be because it's the one that cab drivers take tourists to.

I'd probably leave it, as you say so many dining options and specials everywhere. Especially with the happy hours.

Just for reference I still have a restuarant.com cert for this place which I bought 4 years ago and still haven't used :rotfl:along with all the rest of them, including the infamous Stripburger. :o

Ha - it's one we never bought a r.com voucher for and last I checked they didn't seem to be selling new vouchers..I know you're right though...it's more the not wanting to lock us into too many more meals...we're also staying at Orleans 1 or 2 nights so will likely eat there at least one...so yeah, I think I will pass this time.

Just had a more indepth look at the menu, and the food is just our cup of tea, southern food, barbeque, I could easily just eat here the whole holiday! But yeah, it is abit bad that they don't put the prices on, it would be nice to know what sort of price range it's in. I can't imagine it would be that expensive, but having said that, if the price of the merch is anything to go by....

I suspect that the usmenuguide link is reasonably accurate, they normally are but I am not sure how often they are updated.

Ah, that's better, I didn't click on that link before, just clicked on the deal link and then went from there.

Fairly standard pricing, quite reasonable I think and now another option for a place to eat!

Food at Harley Davidson was nice but not exceptional ...however as my card was used there when it was used fraudulently I won't use them again as their creditcard procedures are lax. Maybe a bit unfair but I'd feel uncomfortable handing my card over in there and the food isn't good enough to faff around making sure I have cash.

There's a few, my 'local' is the one on Eastern Ave, at Mccaran Marketplace. They have a huge Ross Dress for Less there too and I get a great big smile on my face as I watch the planes come into land right next door.:D

There is also Vons, Albertsons and Trader Joes.

Plus at City Centre they have a Wholefoods, which is fabulous.:)

We usually go to the Walmart at Charleston Blvd, I like to go to Michael's (craft store) there too. Got lots of little bits for baking last week there :) There's also a TJ Maxx around the corner on Decatur there too.

Do you mean Wholefoods at Town Square rather than City Center?
  • Just to finish off my 'trip report'....

Friday it was finally properly sunny. :) We spent a few hours at the pool. Then we headed up the strip, via Caesars to Maggiano's for their happy hour. They have delicious flatbreads for $4, and beer, wine and cocktail specials. Great deal!! They also give you lovely bread while you wait for your food. We enjoyed the flatbread so much we ordered another. We were unsure whether to just order a few appetisers and make that our dinner. This is still one of my favourite happy hours.

Then over to Grand Lux Cafe at Palazzo, for a last cocktail there. Liked their raspberry cosmos. Was very busy though, probably because it was a happy hour running on a Friday in a bit casino!

Then we cut through Flamingo and played for a while on our favourite machines in Margritaville casino. Drinks service way to quick, I had a few strawberry margaritas (good) but we had to leave and get back to have an early night. Cut through Bally's for one last time, and headed back to Platinum.

Well that's it all over for another year, might to Arizona and Vegas next year :)

Off to LV in 10 days (first time)!!!
    Some last minute quick questions
-What clothes do I need because I've been reading about storms?
-Been on myVegas and so far have 8K+ in gold coins. Which dining vouchers are the best to get for evening meals?
-Where is Walmart? (We have a car booked)
-Are credit cards easy to use? (we had problems last year in Greece!)

Thanks for any help given, very appreciated!!

It is boiling again, clear skies and hot, hot, hot. Temps are in the mid 90's and looks like being the same for a while.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

We gave the strip a miss last night because of the crowds due to the fight. Went out to M resort as we always do on a Saturday evening and I would have been better off getting into the ring with Mayweather myself.
We have never taken such a beating in one night in our lives. Going to take some doing trying to recoup our losses.
