Hey all, hope everyone is well. Sorry, not got chance to catch up on thread :(

We have a bit of a situation.

With a few more days left in vegas, does anyone know of anywhere where we can pick up a cheap ($30??) suitcase? Bought far too much :(

    We have no car... :(

Edit: there's a few places we will look... Ross dress for less etc, Macy's (that is unlikely to fit budget tho) etc etc. just wondered if anyone could save us time. We will be staying at mirage. :) thanks guys!

I've always bought my extra bags at Ross -definitely check there first....I have a feeling the Walgreens just past the Orleans *might* do suitcases -they would be my first ports of call if car-less-otherwise the obvious is Walmart or Target.

Try Ross first -you probaly won't need to waste any further time searching.

Has anyone ever been to Pacific Archery Sales? It's on Schiff Drive, not sure how far that is off the strip exactly?

Groupon have a good deal on for an hours tuition and it's something the hubby has always fancied, and I wouldn't mind giving it a go too.

Not been but do have all my own equipment.

I say go for it, I am guessing you will use a recurve bow so be prepared for a sore arm, you will have protection from the string hitting your arm but will be lucky to avoid it altogether

I think most americans hunt with a compound bow which are much more powerful and much easier to use but its not proper bows and arrows (if you know what I mean) so you may get to use one of those.

They maybe will have long bows as well and that's real robin hood type bows which are very hard to use.

sorry for rambling, if you do go let us know how it goes

I was going to suggest Ross as well - either the north or south strip locations would be OK even without a car...TJ Maxx would be another option but more difficult without a car...and we once bought a small case for super cheap at Walmart but again more difficult without a car...or Tuesday Morning, seem to recall they had some...again difficult without a car.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Anyone know what the Planet Hollywood buffet is like as i bagged the groupon on there with my mates.

Not great. It has been going downhill for the past 4-5 years. We kept giving it another chance every year and every time we were disappointed.

If you didn't go to any other buffet you may think it was OK, but there are far better options. It had also rocketed in price last time we were there.

Breakfast is better than dinner which is better than lunch.

There's a place at Premium Outlets South which has some reasonable price luggage. We got a large hard bodied case for around $50, but I'm pretty sure they had cheaper options. The shop was called Chez Magnifique.

ETA - Don't some of the shops at the Hawaiian Marketplace sell luggage? I can't remember.

I have now read the replies since posting above.

There was a TJ Maxx due to open where Gameworks was next to the Coke bottle last time we were there.
  • Hi nvh

We had a look out for you in Stir last night but didn't want to go up asking everyone if they were English so never managed to work out if you were there or not. If you were still here I'd have offered to take you to Maryland Parkway or whatever as we have a car. Let me know if you are still struggling to get one - I'll check on here tomorrow morning. I'll also pm you our room number in case you want to call us for a lift in the morning (we are up around 8am or so).

Meanwhile I'd suggest Ross Dress for Less which is just up the strip from you around the Riviera. We walked up there one time, when it was really hot, I think you'd be fine walking there just now since it's reasonably cool.

Anyway, give us a shout if you're still stuck.
