We have done Disney Anaheim a couple of times while in Vegas,we just got an internal flight with southwest.Takes an hour from Mccarran to John Wayne Airport.Just a word of warning,we entered the California Adventure park about half an hour after opening, staying in a hotel walking distance from the parks.Wanted to do the Cars ride, headed straight to cars land, and there was this massive queue on the way there. It was for fast passes for the ride.We were told there was no point in joining the back of the queue ( not that we would have,as it went round so many corners) as fast passes would be out, before we got them.We never got to ride it,it was that busy.
So if you want to do cars land rides specially, get there for opening.
It's a nice little park is Disneyland, but I found the staff nowhere near as friendly as in Florida, and they cancelled fireworks display because of high winds, when there was hardly enough wind to blow out a match.
When you're only there for a short time, you don't have the chance to "miss" things, then do them another day, like you do in Disney World.
Sorry to post a non Vegas comment, but getting on the Radiator Springs Racers in cars land takes some doing....we didn't manage it.0 -
I know this is a very subjective question but i was just wondering what peoples gambling budgets were?
Me and TH are in Vegas for 5 nights as part of a west coast tour and i am thinking $200 per day each.0 -

As you say it is very subjective and impossible to answer for someone else.
As an example a few years ago i was playing 3 card poker at $15 a hand, the guy next to me was playing around $1500 to $3000 a hand.
Your budget is really a personal thing and it comes down to how much you want to gamble and how much you dont mind losing.
If you are playing slots at 1c a spin your $200 will last for ages, if you are playing slots or tables and bet $200 a spin/hand then it wont last long unless you get lucky.
bear in mind that most table games have a $5 to $25 minimum bet0 -
Anybody know where I can get discount Absinthe tickets. I can get them online through ticketmaster for a $25 discount, but by the time I pay the fees there is little discount. The tickets come to $82 each inclusiveThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

End of the day, all the cashier does is ring it through and enter code!
in some cases maybe, but technically the restaurant is supposed to call the redemption number and verify that the voucher is valid (I know that some restaurants don't do this and in some cases they do)...I'd always assumed that if they did call, and it was a voucher for a restaurant where I had used one a few days before, it would get knocked back.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
R.com
I had the same query, as i have 4 'Fresh Grill sarnie @ PH vouchers' and x2 Stripburger vouchers.....
So i did the live chat with R.com... Lady said i can transfer the voucher to someone else, but i said "i cant transfer, i can only revert back to a credit/eGift, then gift that credit to someone else, who then buys the voucher".
Although that works, doesnt work for Stripburger as those vouchers sell out too quick....
So the lady then said you can just print the voucher and give it to your friend to use following day!
Kinda defeats the object of what there terms state!
I'll be trying to use more than 1 next week/wk after, so will report back if i get busted!

agree that it's subjective and depends on what you want to play...for tables you may have to search out low limits for that to last very long at all...for slots you should both be absolutely fine if you keep to the lower end of the scale in terms of stake per spin...unless you go a bit nuts - even with some bad streaks...$200/day each is way more than a lot of people I know budget for gambling.
one thing to consider maybe is the Cosmo offer, if you are interested in slots and assuming they extend it (which they have previously).

Best way to do it (we think) is put in a $100 bill to start...and take turns play on one person's players club card - move around all you want just make sure to always put the same players club card in the machine and check it registers before you start to play...if your ticket gets down to nothing, you know you have lost $100...go to the players club and they will give you another $100 in freeplay on your card you can then go on to play with...will effectively, worst case scenario, give you $200 of slot play for $100.
If you have a decent win in the first $100 - cash out and go...and come back another day...or switch to the other person's card and start over.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Stuie,we did LA in a day in October. Its defo worth doing, the only thing is it is a bit rushed. You get an hour at Santa Monica beach, then photo oppotunities as near as poss to the Hollywood sign, then lunch at Cheesecake Factory on Rodeo Drive( no time to shop tho!!).Next it was all around Beverley Hills seeing the stars houses and to finish off Graumans Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The only problem was that the theatre was closed due to a function, which is a regular thing, and it was here we had the longest time ,over an hour. Was really disappointedwith this as it was one of the main things they talk about on the journey, even showing you a dvd all about it.I read some reviews online and nearly everyone said it was closed when they went too,so just be aware!!0

I guess it depends on whether part of the ring thru process includes checking with r.com that another voucher from that account hasn't been redeemed in that restaurant in the past month
snap.
I would be really embarrassed if I got busted...it's not really in the spirit of the r.com site anyway...and since you won't know if you're caught until you've ordered and eaten, it's just not something I would try...unless someone would be OK paying full price if the voucher was knocked back.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
