We too have recently started getting our myvegas rewards as we are due in Vegas 16th-21st June.

    So far i have:
2 Nights in Mirage Tower Suite (booked in January)
    Bellagio Buffet
    Secret garden entry
    $75 Sporting House Credit

    Hubby has:
    $50 NFI credit
    $50 NYNY bar credit

Still waiting to claim the last few, undecided and hoping they bring back the $100 NYNY dining credit or something new.

We also have restaurant.com voucher for stripburger and the pizza place at MB.
Need to start planning an itinerary for spending them all!

I have also downloaded an app on my phone to improve my video poker skills!
  • We're hoping for the $100 NYNY to come back too but not holding our breath. Everything seems to be going up in 'price' and down in value, that's why we're trying to get ours early before they go! Still, I'm not complaining about freebies!

We've got r.com for Stripburger ($25), El Segundo Sol ($50) and Slice of Vegas ($25). Never used them before, I didn't quite get the gist of them last time we went. Great that they don't expire too so there's no pressure to use them - I hate feeling like we 'have' to do something on holiday, it turns the nicest things into a chore!

I've printed $5 off coupons for the Planet Hollywood Spice Market buffet today too (just in case they disappear!). We went there a few times last time we were there and enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to the gourmet cupcake station! Link to the coupons is http://www.destinationcoupons.com/Nevada/Las_Vegas/spice-market-buffet/spice-market-buffet-coupons.asp#.UWQBRcqyKDA , just in case anyone wants them (I'm sure last time they were in the free coupon booklets though)

despite my general dislike for MyVegas after having some good stuff for free last trip from hubby's efforts (and a little bit of hubby playing for me on the rare occasion I left myself logged into Facebook) I've started playing.

I still think it's a time suck but I used to log into Facebook once a week or so...and I cannot understand how they will keep this going as the relative value of the rewards is quite high (though cost to them is quite low, I get that)...but I am playing...I won't say I enjoy it as such...but for reasons we could never explain I did have a 404k credit win...that was kind of cool...frittered away completely, but still.

My aim is simply Zarkana tickets as hubby isn't fussed so won't use his points for it but will be happy to go with me if I get freebies.

I hadn't realised that about the B buffet - that you could use it for dinner and pay the difference...we thought it was a good lunch buffet but not one we would pay for...would consider dinner if another freebie was to be had (me, not him as he's already had one).

And for free Criss Angel was enjoyable...you can absolutely see why people would be mad if they paid full price and he is a bit up his own bottom (but tries to play it off with some false modesty)...but I enjoyed it much more than I expected to.

i agree about sometimes planning/have to makes it a chore....
however, with the 8 freebies we got, plus the many R.com vouchers, a bit of planning now saves time when u get there!
I always think back to other holidays when you spend 30 mins wondering what to do, and then end up somewhere u dont want to be!!!! :D

The way i got us things to do at the mo, i think were gonna need a holiday when we get back to recover from our Vegas holiday!! :D
(oh, thats providing we get there due to my bad planning on the flight part!! :D:D:D:D )
  • I know what you mean :) We're there for 11 nights this time which could be deadly!

Hubs and I have decided that this time around we're going to get up when we wake up instead of trying to get onto Vegas time properly. We'll go and play some slots, ideally drink some cocktails (well, it is Vegas) and then head to the pool as soon as the sun's properly up to snooze and soak up some sunshine before the Vdara death ray kicks in! It's so easy to go nuts and forget about actually relaxing a bit!

Queen Victoria pub is to close according to this
    http://www.vegaschatter.com/story/2013/4/8/155622/0187/vegas-travel/Queen+Victoria+Pub+Closing+at+the+Riv

Restaurant.com are still selling certificates so if you buy them when there is a good discount when it shuts your account will get credited with the full certificate amount.Might be a cheaper way to get the most in demand restaurants at a better rate.Anyone see a problem with this?

Been playing MyVegas for a couple of weeks, put off playing initially simply coz of my distate of Facebook,am playing a couple of hours each night but have to say it bores me silly!!I love slots but not these. All I am playing for are some free buffets. What I want o know is whenyou want to redeem your rewards can you put in say for example Cravings Buffet x 3 or can you only redeem 1 of say each reward??I am playing on my ipad by using Photon which slows the game down a bit and adds to the frustration!!
  • It's one of each reward only. It gets easier as you level up cos you get more auto-spins so you can set it off and go and do something else if you want

I think you may actually be me as I feel exactly the same...though I'm not playing that much as I normally play on the PC so couldn't bear hours of it...I could play on the tablet with Photon while watching telly or something but I just can't be bothered.

I do get the most excitement out of getting gold coins when running around collecting from the properties...my hubby laughs so much at my hand clapping '50! 50 gold ones!' It's a little sad.

except that those pesky bonus rounds get in the way...I get annoyed if I come back and realise that I have no idea how long it's been sat waiting for me. :)
