Sunshineyday - well done re the ciggies, hopefully you will feel so much better and have more dosh too.
And - now that I don't go out to work I do not shower every day either. I also use a crystal deodorant on days that I am not leaving the house. I too was brought up on the wash daily, bath weekly regime, and I find I can do a quick washdown in far less time than a shower. I love a soak in a bath a couple of times a week too and my hair is better for washing every 2nd or 3rd day, as a sometime eczema sufferer I find I have less irritation. In the summer when I am gardening a daily shower or bath is a must though:eek:.
OH and I got to the hospital yesterday to find my brother had been moved from Critical Care to High Dependancy and joy of joys he was awake and able to talk to us, he is a bit gobsmacked by it all, but remembered his helicoptor journey. OH was ragging him as the family had bought him a helicoptor trip for his 50th birthday last summer, and he had not had time to take it. If all goes well he should be moved to a normal ward in a few days, hopefully then his little daughter (9) will be able to visit him.
Sorted through my lipsticks, going to try a different one each day, I think a few more will be TA, some I think will not suit me now my hair colour has changed. Does anyone have any recs for a good lip brush, I can't get away with applying from the tube anymore:(
Thanks everyone for your support, it has been a huge help.:A:A
That's brilliant. I'm so glad he's on the mend xDecluttering 2015: 2162/20150 -
Maddie, im glad to hear hes on the mend! xxDid you get any emails from Amarya re free boxes, my last paid for box is next month and should get one free box, just wondered when they tell you about them.
And 5 ins from Amarya same as itzybitzy
and another 5 INS the same for me!
i didnt get an email, they just sent out the free one. i only twigged when the direct debit didnt go out on time.
had a sort out last night and the stash is now just in 3 little drawers of my tiny storage unit! still awaiting a beauty bible testing package so will prob not last long but still!:jI'm now onto Benefit badgal lash- the brush is AWFUL. I've taken the comb brush from the no 7 mascara and i'm using that instead.
i think its genuinely the biggest brush i've seen on a mascara! i found it so hard not to just get all over and really hard to get right in to the corners and lash line!0 -
Due to having stash I'm not planning on renewing beauty box subscription when it runs out. Surprisingly DH was disappointed as he thinks its nice for me to having something coming in the post every month that I can look forward to. So trying to think of some different I could get instead, but can't think of anything. So only thing I can think of is giving myself £10 every month that I can spend on something I want (rather than need). What do you think?
I'm also planning on making my sister a beauty box out of the stash for her birthday in a couple of months time.
how about saving the money to treat youeself to a session at a beauty salon?my local ones have offer of the month so saving money :)had a peach massage last week and due a two hour session facial/massage from birthday/xmas vouchers this month:):):):)0 -

A few UU to declare:
Superdrug Vitamin E Eye Contour Gel - For me the jury is out on eye gel/creams and their benefits but I do prefer a gel to a cream and this did feel nice and cooling - would be good on puffy eyes I think. WBA in theory but this had been around a good while and I think SD have replaced it with a cream which is less appealing for me. Moving onto a Sanctuary gel next if I can find it!
Soap & Glory Clean Mary - Name makes me laugh but I actually really quite like this - had a couple of tubes at the beginning of the challenge and was going to GA as I didn't use cream cleanser at all - what an alien concept now, I've mainly weaned myself off face wipes and have a 'proper' routine and I've got to say that my skin has definitely benefited from this. I very rarely have any sort of blemish (hope I've not jinxed myself there!) WBA in theory but don't think they do it any more.
Batiste Dark & Deep Brown Dry Shampoo - Instant HG for me, must-have product - can go longer between washes and also between colouring my hair and don't look like I've gone grey/white overnight. Love it! Seriously slipped up not stocking up on this in Dec as I can't do without it so that's broken my planned zero IN for the first three months of 2013 as I've replaced it straight away, wasn't worth suffering without. At least I can say it was necessary.
Lush Snow Fairy - Very pink, fruity, sugary and glittery, standard Lush! Made me laugh as was part of a Christmas gift from my Auntie, label showed it was made in Nov 2007, BB Nov 2009, in fairness it had separated a little but was perfectly pleasant and usable. Not too sure how true it was to the intended product as not used it before but WBA. Both my Mum and Auntie stash but more gifts than products for themselves and me and my sister regularly have a laugh when vouchers etc inside are use by 2008 etc not to sound ungrateful! :rotfl: Have washed the bottle out and going to decant some shower gel from my massive 750ml TBS bottles. Not so much the size which is daunting but the fact that the pump is soo rubbish on them that you need to pump it five times or so to get a tiny amount, would literally take forever to UU like that. Very MSE but also very annoying when you can't get enough product out! This way I can alternate between the coconut and moringa in short stints to avoid boredom0 -
Maddie, pleased to hear your brother is on the mend.
I have a couple more UU, both sample sizes:
- Guinot firming vital neck care 3ml - I got this from the beauty salon I go to for facials (Guinot Hydradermie, which I highly recommend). It was nice, but I am not really convinced I need a separate neck cream.
- Aveda hand relief 15ml: I've had the full size of this before too, it's a really nice cream, WMBA - am not sure I prefer this to the L'occitane and Crabtree and Evelyn creams though. They are both good at moisturising and smell lovely too, the Aveda one isn't that exciting a scent.0 -

My tip for splutterers if it's a tube is I chop the end of to scoop out all the remaining bits. If you chop half way down you can kind of use the chopped off end as a lid over the open end[/QUOTE]
yes this is what I do, the lid stops the product from drying outLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
