we have lost a gerbil - gone to the great gerbilarium in the sky.

mind you she lived far longer than we thought she would. She's in a pretty box, ready to go in the garden. DD is brave and has wrapped her.

Sorry to hear that, Valli - hugs for you and DD x

I've done a little more sorting and made a list for tomorrow - it has 50 things on it but most are little 2 minute jobs so I should feel like I've achieved something! Have also put cross stitch and DVD for my quiet NYE in - I will achieve those!!!

Will be around for HHCs in the morning as dad said he'd be here between 11 and 1 so I need to be awake and tidying before then!

    Night all, sleep well xx

  • Anyone up for an AnW'sMum style ironing challenge? Commit to clear all your ironing by 31 December to start the New Year with an empty basket.

I did have an empty ironing basket at the start of Sunday morning, but I think the spirit of the challenge was to make sure there was no dirty washing first :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So I have been feeding the WM and TD all evening - still 2 loads to do, so may have to fly by night and then decide what REALLY needs ironing :eek:
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • I'm in, thank you dusty and thank you natty for last week :A

    Still feeling a bit groggy.

Off to bed now as I've got work in the morning, thankfully it is a short day :j

    Sleep well all

    xx

  • I am totally in this week as I have weekend guests to prepare for - only proplem is I am currently away and won't be home till Tuesday night arghhhhhh!!

Oh well will have to do Monday and tuesday on we'd morning!!

Happy flying to all for 2013!!
  • I am in - doing a bit of flying by night now as I can't breathe as soon as I lay down :mad::mad: don't worry ladies, I will be getting my legs up off the floor at regular intevals until I can perfect falling asleep sitting on the bed bolt upright ;)

    so here goes

    Monday Bit of Everything
    Level One
[STRIKE]Have home been found for all the presents? Try to get one thing out of the house for each thing in - new socks, get rid of the religious ones etc[/STRIKE] DD3 went out with her Dad yesterday (Sunday) clothes shopping as flybaby will be arriving somewhere around her birthday and I will be stuck in hospital - I told her she had to get rid of two things for one new item purchased - one black bin liner now waiting to go to charity shop/clothes bank :j and this is despite a big clear out in October when I joined:eek:
    Level Two
Declutter floors Not just into a box or binbag to hide away, try to put things where they belong, a home for everything will make life easier
Sweep/mop/hoover floors you can now see
    Level Three
Chill something fizzy to toast the New Year
S&S toilets and sinks (inlcuding the kitchen
HHI - who has achieved that empty basket? (one load still to wash, plus bedding see below) Mount Foldmore is shrinking, I am not ironing tea towels as part of this challenge, although I folded 20 tea-towels Anthea style earlier, all neatly stacked in my box in the kitchen! Need to fold a bit more to see what REALLY still needs ironing :p:p:p

    Extras
[STRIKE]Clean WM/DW filters and put through on a clean cycle[/STRIKE] did this earlier tonight before putting a boil wash through as the dispenser tray was gunked up again

Meal plan for the week - have started collecting milk in syringes for freezing for flybaby (a week behind schedule,:eek::eek::eek:but its a start:o) need to give some serious forethought to Wednesday onwards when EX MIL arrives - I cannot be having food contamination wars raging at home if I am kept in hospital cos someone stirred a veggies dinner with a meat-y spoon
Count some blessings from the year gone by
Give everyone a fresh clean bed to collapse into after seeing in the New Year (whatever time DD1 and DD2 stagger in on NYD :eek:)

All bathroom and kitchen bins emptied, recycling and food compost dragged outside ready for collection in the morning instead of my usual Friday collection (and boy was there a lot of it!)

Right time for a nice cuppa something warm and milky to aid sleeping upright :D see you all at sensible o'clock!
The cold never bothered me anyway

Brrr. Just been out to put the bin out. Would have done it last night but the wind has been wild here. Desperately needs emptying though, can't miss a week.

Back in bed, with littlest moo right in the middle with her arms flung out. Hmph.

  • hooray - it's bin day!

It is also the first day I've been awake at normal time, let alone up! Not up to walking yet but I feel a bit more normal.

Off to brew some tea and stick some washing on!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
