surely any person would ask why do you want your older colleague to look after our children again and again. when you behave like a doormat you are treated as one. i have sympathy for your neighbour but surely she should have realised that something was up much earlier. maybe she did not want to face upto it.
in the end there is not much you can do. she needs to be strong enough to fight for her rights. good luck to her0
