Hi, we are going to Disneyland Paris in 6 weeks time, got flights booked through easy jet and hotel through ebookers, a Disney hotel. It was booked four weeks ago. Today I get a phone call saying that 'Disney' have overbooked our hotel and now we have to find a new one. Can they do this?! What are my rights?

Yes they can, and you are entitled to a full refund.0

A refund is the very least I expected, my issue is that it's now later and availability is less. We purposely booked a Disney hotel to get the extra value hours only open to Disney hotel guests. The alternatives they are offering are not Disney. Hotels and therefore we wouldn't get the extra hours. They are also triple the price we paid!
I'm fuming as we've booked flights etc and this has only just been brought to our attention weeks after booking0 -
normally when a hotel overbooks they find a hotel of a similar standard i.e. star grading etc and move you at no cost.
Hold firm and push for that, and include some agreement on the extra hours.0 -

Why aren't I surprised - Disney are showing availability at the original hotel we booked. Therefore it must be ebookers who are cancelling our booking. NOW where do we stand?!0

Disney will give agencies a certain allocation. That is not to say they will not have availability themselves.
What options have ebookers given you? What dates are you travelling, and how many in the party?0 -
Can You not phone Disney hotels direct and ask them about availability?
If there is room I would expect Ebookers to pay the difference.0 -
We're travelling in feb for two nights. 2 adults 2 children. They have offers alternatives ( saying that Disney have) but we will have to pay edifference. The next Disney hotel available on ebookers website is 240 extra to what we paid.
Not sure where to go with this now but we really wanted the extra magic hours to make the trip more worthwhile due to flight times :-(0 -
Disney call centre closes at 4.45pm! What a nightmare!0

call Disney in the morning (call the French guest services number 0033 1 60 30 60 53 - and use a discount dial number first to get the call cheap from a UK landline). Ask them about availability for your exact hotel room and dates. Then call ebookers and say what they say.
I know its little consolation, but if you are going to DLP outside of school holidays in February, you won't need EMH - you'll be able to get on the EMH rides (its only a handful of them) later in the day/early evening.0
