Thanks for your responses. I think the 16 gb will do me. I don't think I will be storing loads of music or photos on it. I know this may be a silly question but I am assuming it will connect to the internet where there is free internet access.0

All iOS devices (pad/phone/pod) can be set up as standalone now so no need for itunes on a PC...0 -

We've got the 16GB Nexus 7. And an OTG cable into which a USB drive can be attached to provide additional storage as required.0

Nexus 7 any day of week don't like being dictated to with I can put on my things, if it starts to run slow, just reinstall the OS.0

Didn't it come along with the advent is iOS5? Been able to set up without the need of a PC for ages.0 -
Correct - and a hell of a lot less than the £40 extra needed to buy the 32GB Nexus.
Of course you need to buy the OTG cable too. So all in £5 (OTG plus app) - a saving of £35 - very money-saving.
Not so neat having dangley bits hanging around though.

Note: a paid-for app may not be necessary if you're willing to risk turning the device into a brick. Other options include something called StickMount and a code patch for 'rooted' devices.0
