Lol at the coffee machine - see how many are on ebay and then you'll see if people hang onto them or get rid. Always loads on sale on my local second hand site. Pods are so expensive, faff of cleaning, another thing on the surface.
Were you thinking of taking machine to work??
ETA; Do you WANT a new one, or would a second hand one do?Thanks anyway because your post got me thinking of my cafetiere and just realised that I have coffee for that in cupboard so won't need coffee this week after all!
Would be quite happy with a 2nd hand one ... have scoured e*bay for a "collection only" one but none near me
Re taking it to work .. that's the big issue - NO!
I'd be making it and putting it in a flask BUT I'm not sure how well it would keep ... I've tried this with making coffee / milk myself but it's almost like the milk curdles... thought the pod stuff may be better as it's already made IYSWIM
Pondering it just now - I would still use it in the house - so that would be a WANT but it's really to save money by not buying lattes at work that is the reason I NEED it .... if the stuff doesn't keep in a flask - I won't be buying it!
Think I'm managing to talk myself out of one :TGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Have just sat and read through this thread and love it so subscribed.
I used to just buy what I wanted and this is where I ended up in the mess I am in now. My ex OH and I were talking the other day about how much money we wasted when together and hopefully wont be doing that anymore.
I keep thinking I need to replace my smart phone that broke but looking at it, do I really need all the apps. My old phone is a bit naff but works and does what I really need it to do. I have the internet at home so can wait till i get back to sort things out. My contract is up for renewal in 10 months and I know a lot of companies will offer to renew early if they think they will lose you or new companies will buy out your last 6 months so will wait and see, plus may be able to get a cheaper deal with a new phone.
I thought I needed new leggings but really I just need to sew the hole in my trusty old ones.
So really there is nothing I reallly want and a lot of what I thought I needed are really wants.
May need to get a few bits of food but going to eat out cupboards and freezer and not go into supermarkets without my list.
My notebook still has a few pages left, so may have to keep an eye out for a new one but will wait till I find one really cheap.APR NSD - 0/10

Ok, I'll bite too. No-one says that dying of liver failure is a pleasant way to die, it isn't and thanks to stupid programs like Coronation Street the majority of people think that you can do a 'cry for hhelp' suicide attempt by swallowing a few paracetamol and all will be ok. You and I know different. You are absolutely right to highlight the dangers of an overdose.
However, the instructions on a Calpol bottle themselves advise a dosage of 4 times per DAY. A single quarter tablet in a teaspoon of honey onther than a commercial preparation will do the same job and is in effect less dose than the Calpol makers suggest. Especiallu if you can only buy 100mg tablets in blister packs of 16 thanks to those same twits as portrayed on TV. Additionally, Calpol contains at least one substance banned in Australia and France as well as others proven to have adverse effects in children. It is grossly overpriced thanks to the greed of the pharma companies and collective blindness of this society that have been brainwashed into believing that they are unable to understand medicine without their hands being held. Thus, you have glorified sales assistants in Boots who believe they have a right to enquire after your medical history before they will sell you that blister pack of 16 tablets for the same price you used to pay for 100.
I trust that the idiot parents who poisoned the child you refer to were prosecuted for murder since the Childs poisoning could not by definition have been an accident. No child will eat bitter paracetamol and mistake it for sweets. They will however drink Calpol given half a chance.
please be careful- paracetamol comes in 500mg tablets, NOT 100mg tablets!LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
Absolutely. How big is the dog? If you're talking about labrador size, then you want a knuckle or forarm bone to be properly effective (preferably with the marabone intact). Canines use the bones as a means of strengthening their jaws, cleaning teeth etc. Many butchers are happy to part with bones too if you ask nicely. As Rising says, the bones should be uncooked and whole. They'll spend hours sucking and licking until its completely clean, but do remember to confine them to a room when they have the bone. They'll hide them for later given half a chance so dont forget about it.
Lab size. I don't think I'll make the switch completely but will certainly get him something raw as a treat.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I have recently adopted a lab from the kennels who was on a natural diet, they fed the lab whole chicken carcuss not cooked in the evening. On my list from them they said that the dogs can eat any non weight bearing bones as long as not cooked. My local butcher does marrowbone for £2 and cuts it into 4 pieces for my two. They also really like the pork rind a supermarket which starts with a M sells for making crackling. Normally about 48p for 3 big pieces and they love it.APR NSD - 0/10
