Hi everyone
When I was clearing my debt I was so good and never brought anything I didn't need. But confession time I HAVE SLIPPED BACK  I find myself buying loads of stuff I don't need:eek: So I will be joining you as I would like to pay my mortgage off by Christmas 13 and am never going to at this rate.
When I was paying debt off I put 80% of the stuff I picked up back on the shelf in the shop. Now I find I am buying 100% of it
So will go out today and buy a cheap diary and start it and will start meal planning again I promise.
So today I need a cheap diary and a cheap note book
Some tea lights (to use the expensive yankee tarts I spent loads of money on
Food shopping which I will list before I go.
I feel much better now I have written it down but gutted I have slipped back but its so easy.
Thank you for starting this thread and will look forward to hearing all your successes.

Hi, is there a link for the "snowballer" - think this would really motivate me to overpay my cc debts & would show me that even a small overpayment will have an impact! Since reading these threads, I have returned numerous items to Next (loved the boots but didn't need them!) and M&S! :T
Have had quite a shift in thinking since Christmas - really hope it lasts!! Would like to pay £2000+ off my debt this year (only work part-time so will require some willpower!!).0 -

Brillant job everyone. I was away fro the night last night visiting relatives so spent a bit on petrol. On the plus side they have given me LOADS to sell on ebay as they know I'm a debt busting mission. Don't think I will need anything tonight, so thats me done for the evening.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thank you 365days!!! Have used the snowball calculator and yes it is scary, but I am no longer scared:j For the 1st time in years, I have actually seen all my debts in black & white & it has made me think there's no way I'm paying these off until 2016!!! Great, inspirational tool!!! Can't wait to pay extra off & see the debts tumble!!! BTW since reading your thread I have gone 2 whole days without spending a single penny!! Have got £150 cash in the house & going to see how long I can make it last - would be great to not go near an ATM until end of Feb!!! Keep them posts coming0

I was visiting my parents today, and we went by the supermarket - I drove my dad mad just asking 'do you really need that?'
I bought a pair of black jeans for£12.50 though, which I needed, though maybe could have gone a few more weeks without....
Now if I can just apply this to the diet...0
