Yesterday went a bit wrong. Today went better.
Day 8+9 positives
- Today a No Spend Day. Yesterday unwisely spent a tenner on crisps, choc and wine cos all of us were feeling a bit crud. We still felt crud afterwards but were also a tenner down. Lesson learnt.
Day 8+9 tasks to carry over to Day 10
- Investigate switching suppliers for electricity
- Start collecting cardboard ready for the eBay onslaught (half the 124 items listed now have watchers on them - eek)2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Good Luck with the e baying. What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0

Losing track of the days here. Starting a new job, then having 126 items ending on the Friday night, and hosting a birthday party on the Saturday - yeah I know how to relax.
Positives
- £103 (less fees, plus any postage profit) on Super eBay Friday
- Put 30ish unsold items back in for another weeklong soak
- Homemade cakes and card for my father
- Broken dishwasher door issue sidestepped by use of screw and strategically placed chair
Things to carry over
- Electricity Supplier Switcheroo
- Look for some more stuff to list as it is another free listing weekend2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Positives
- NSD (other than the postage costs for sending off the remaining ebay sales)
Things to carry over
- Switcheroo
Man, that was a pretty dull diary entry. I think the disappointment of the pathetic snow has got to me.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

I think the disappointment of the pathetic snow has got to me.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Positives
- Getting a few European bites on my remaining listings. Will have to have a rethink about my selling strategy for the rest of my vinyl and computer games - France and Scandanavia are far more interested in my old stuff than the UK.
Carried over
- Switching thing. Am getting so sick of writing this one down that surely subconsciously I'll find the time to do it.
- Also need to find time to speak to my new bosses about anything 'extra' that might be available whether that be evenings or holiday time.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

I never switch - I'm with BG (Dual fuel and online discount) and always take a fix, which they always offer me at the end of each fixed deal. Been doing it for about 10 years. I've had one 5 year fix - 2 lots of 2 years and am currently on a 3 year fix. Works for me and avoids switching.
But I don't know if these deals only get offered to existing customers? Who are you with? What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Hi, Mr B. I have followed all your diaries but am subscribing to this one because I'm now 300 pounds a month down as eldest son has now left college so lost tax credits, child benefit and maintenance, so am open to any austerity tips!
Keep your chin up!
