Afternoon all.
Am starting a new thread away from my general musings https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3445909 as I need to keep focused. In a nutshell, on top of the ridiculously high debt we carry, a malfunction at work has resulted in me having to take another job with a takehome pay of precisely 1k a month less. I don't do SOAs before anyone asks and to be frank I ain't really fishing around for any ideas, I just need somewhere to record what progress I can make each month in trying to make up the shortfall.
Gulp.

Slow and steady wins the race. Slothlike and unpredictable - not so sure. Managed to drag 1 high(ish) value item out of the shed in order to be listed but I just can't seem to function well in lashing rain and muddy puddles. Were I to be reincarnated as a pig I would be a damn unhappy one.
Had our first austerity supermarket run today - and on the positives - it was in double figures, we used vouchers and didn't get any alcohol. I shall be seeing the new year in with a healthy shot of vegetable juice.
Just need to double check all the criteria for PPI claims, as my first claim from Lloyds was rejected, I appealed back at the end of October and have had no acknowledgement so by my reckoning it's time to get the Ombudsman to start doing his ombudding.
No booze, something ready to list tomorrow and a PPI letter to write. Tomorrow should be positive.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Day 1 positives.
- Listed (so far) 45 items on ebay. Have just sat down with a cup of tea for a 10 minute break before carrying on. Will likely run out of time before the midnight deadline but will just push on until that time.
- No extravagant spending.
Day 1 tasks to carry over to Day 2
- Getting PPI letter written to Mr Ombudsman.
- Going on a cash hunt (wallets, cars, jackets, sofas, etc) and banking the lot of it. Plus an old cheque that has been sitting in the wallet for a couple of months. £12 is not to be sniffed at.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
