    What a lovely heartwarming thread.

Please-let-m-be-lucky what a together, grown up young man you have, hope hubby is ok now.

Northern Princess - no wonder you are so proud of your daughter.

Same goes for everyone else who has posted.

I'm always proud of my little monkeys - they are only 19 months and 3 3/4 and both have disabilities but they are always so cheerful and determined. DD really got Christmas for the first time his year and although desperate to open her own presents she was equally keen for everyone else to open theirs and even helped her little brother unwrap his as he doesn't quite have the co-ordination to manage it yet before passing him the unwrapped present without even having a little look or a play herself!
  • What wonderful children you all have :)

I'm proud of my DD right now as she is having to deal with a very sad situation.

I'm proud of both my boys too. They all have good hearts and do me proud!

youve all got wonderful children because youve all done a fantastic job of bringing them and being an equally wonderful parent and one day, if theyre not already, they will be equally proud of you and hopefully tell you so x

I was going to say exactly the same thing :)

As a teacher, trust me, you can predict what pupils' parents are going to be like. And it sounds like everyone who has posted on this thread is an amazing parent- if only there were many more like you :D
  • What a lovely idea for a thread.

please-let-me-be-lucky- Your son showed amazing courage in what must have been a scary situation for him and his younger bother. I hope your husband is much better.

I proud of my son as even though he is being bullied at school (we have been to school but until he tells us who it is they can't do anything and he is scared of what will happen if he tells) he still managers to see the bright side.

I'm proud of my DD as she is growing into a beautiful young lady, who volunteers one day a week with elderly people with disabilities and also in a charity shop.
  • Thank you everyone, Hubby is ok. He had a head injury 18 months ago and has had 1 previous seizure though my boys didn't see it. I had discussed what to do in an emergency with the eldest but didn't ever think he'd have to do it and thankfully he remembered it all when the time came.

The fact that he was concerned for his brother melts my heart though.

I agree, the other wonderful kids must have wonderful parents Xx

I'm proud of my 17 year old DD just for being her!

Again this year I had no Xmas list as she says she has everything she needs.

Over the last few years she has worked her little socks off at school, she has got herself a part-time job and grown in confidence and loves her financial independence.

In the space of a year she lost her only grandparent, her Aunt and Godmother and my OH became ill and had to finish work. She showed real maturity reading at my sister's funeral service.

Now if only I could get her to tidy her bedroom!

My kids got iPads for Christmas - I am hopeful that they will help them do their school work, as well as interact with friends, play games, and watch movies.
  • My boys have never asked for much, despite their friends getting spoilt. They know we don't have much money and this year was no exception. They were up, dressed and in good cheer (even though one was hungover!) when their grandparents arrived for Christmas lunch and kept them entertained throughout. Was very proud of them, as always.
