No, other people have posted about getting fees added for leaving their contracts early by using a PAC early. How about an external link, to say the TMobile forum, where a TMobile employee will either backup what these charges are for, or say they are nothing more than the end of the contract being paid up.
As was said many times (by other people) T-mobile cannot backup anything and they always refund the charges if challenged. By doing this they do 'backup' indirectly that they are wrong.0 -

ie they have paid for their notice period, any person can see that, except you.
You again back up what you say in these threads, by linking to other threads where you have commented to backup what you've said, by again linking to threads where you've done the same.

Nope, my own post and several others are not about paying the notice period. They're about an actual early termination fee put on the account because of using the PAC. No-one is disputing having to pay the full 30 days' line rental. The ETF has been added as an extra for using the PAC before the last day.0 -
I too was charged a £25 "early termination fee" by t-mobile shortly after asking for my PAC in my final month. Luckily I spotted it on my bill before the payment was due and questioned it - they claimed it had been applied in error and refunded.
Cheeky monkeys. They charged it even before I had a chance to use the PAC.0 -
Your final bill should show any rental from the point the PAC was used that has already been billed refunded plus a charge separate for the remainder of the 30 days notice as an ETC debit. If this is not the case then you have rights to complain.0

I too was charged an early termination fee by T Mobile for having the cheek to request a pac in the final month of my contract. I wasn't informed that there would be a charge and the first I knew of it was when I got my next bill a month later.
However the difference in my case is that I never actually used the pac code and I remained on contract with them.
It took me about 4 months and numerous phonecalls before I finally managed to get them to refund the charge :mad:0 -

They're ridiculous. If you call and say you want to cancel, but don't want to keep your number, then (hopefully!) the contract will end on the 30th day. If you do want the PAC, lest you want to not have the inconvenience of changing your details with everyone, then your contract isn't cancelled unless you use it.
If you use it before the 30th day, you're charged an early termination fee because apparently the system sees that your line is terminated before the very last day.
It's a nightmare to get the money back. They never seem to recredit my actual bank account with it! You really have to keep on top of making sure the actual money is refunded and not just shown as an account credit.0 -
im-lost I really think you are lost here. We are not talking about getting back line rental money; it is a specific charge on top of my final month’s fee, which I still have to pay in Jan.
by the way everyone, T-Mobile have said that they will just take it off the final bill in January, should I cancel my DD and just pay them. or will i let them take the DD. i have completly lost any trust in this company and think they might just take the full amount which means i have to fight to get it back. Although i might be covered under the DD GuaranteeNorn Iron Club No:468

Without seeing the breakdown of your final bill (and potentially the one before that) as well as establishing exactly when the PAC was requested and used this issue is open to many interpretations. Using your PAC early may result in a specific debit charge for early termination and not clearly be listed as a line rental charge but a penalty fee. But at the same time you should have a refund of advanced rental to offset this.0 -
The breakdown of the final bill has the right amount for monthly line rental, plus the odd charge for voicemail, plus "Early Termination Fee". It's a charge they add on for your line ending before the end date. I asked them specifically about this when I called and they said it was because I used the PAC 2 days early. If I'd used it 2 days later then it wouldn't have been charged. And for £25 or so, that's a lot for 2 days' line rental!0
