Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Vendee? We've stayed at Bel for a few years, just fancy somewhere different?

Also, which of these insist on the males wearing speedos (hubby wont), Bel is happy with swimming shorts. I know some of them specify no shorts, but I wondered how strict they were. TIA

There is only ONE site in Ireland and that is Hagan's Leisure's Causeway Coastal Holiday Park in Ballycastle. I can find only the limited info given by the Sun re their sites, nothing else!
Have searched Hogan's site too.
Can anyone please tell me anything about it, anyone been there?
Do they take dogs?
I have emailed Hogan's but may have left it a bit late by now as I want to book as soon as booking office opens!!

Just wondering if anyone can help me out, been doing these holidays for a couple of years now, on the last lot back in September I decided to book Butlins for the first time.
I booked it for April and as yet have had no confirmation from the park, I had an email from the Sun that said if my confirmation didn't come through by end of Sept then to contact the park. I did contact them before christmas and was told my details would be put on the system at end of feb.
Has anyone else had to wait this long for confirmation before or should I be chasing them up, just getting a bit worried as my holiday should be in 3 months and I'd rather have it paid off sooner than later.

Also Check out Haven Thorpe Park at Cleethorpes (its in the Lincs list) a stones throw away from the Yorkshire Border and is close to Mablethorpe, Skegness.

I am a Yorkshire Lass and have been to 44 and 45.

Blue Dolphin (45) is nearer to Scarbrough (15 mins away) and is a smallish site with a small pool not very deep. It caters better for camping and touring.

Primrose Valley (44) is nearer to Filey Has beach access. The better facilities are here as it is the largest of the Haven sites in the area. Good for day fishing, riding bikes and evening entertainment. Better for children and families.

We tried to use both sites when we booked direct but you cannot because they colour code the entertainment passes so stop you doing so! :rotfl:

Both are within 5 miles of each other and are great for visiting Filey, Whitby, Scarbrough, Bridlington.

you definitely should have had some confirmation from Butlins by now !

Ive been to (44) Primrose Valley a few times and find it the best one for children, also been to Thorpe park at Cleethorpes which is good too but you need to book early for both
