should 9yr old be allowed unsupervised access to computer?

Only takes a few seconds for a 9 year old to start googling "ancient egyptians having sex" while doing a homework project in the study. (Luckily the child's older sibling snitched on her before she got any further at which point the parents intervened. And hastily added parental controls.)
Kids just get curious or think they're having a bit of fun with very little thought to or understanding of the consequences. I'm pretty sure the 9 year old in question had no idea of the images she narrowly avoided seeing.

Out of curiosity i googled that ...can't see anything explicit per say but i guess it could lead to more explicit sites :eek:

edit; ok i take that back, a few pages in and there are some definetly not suitable for a 9 year old :eek:
